Nintendo showed off an all new area of the game at Gamescom

My god, I need this game. My only regret not having an NS this year will this being on my shelf teasing me.

Why does the environment seem less detailed than XCX? Is it early gameplay footage or what?

This is a good year for JRPGs. I hope this game is more user friendly than the first. Really couldn't get into XC1.

Also hope XCX gets a eshop port ...

Sublime. With Xenoblade 1 having to be one of my favourite games of all time, this has to be my most anticipated game of the rest of the year.

Honestly, the stream is just rather muddy.  It's just as detailed from what I can see and folliage mesh quality is a definite step up.  And of course, lighting and water effect improvements.  And the detail level of the city they went too was considerably higher than NLA.

On a technical level, definite step up.  Also, in this video I saw no issues in landscape shadow draw distance like what we saw at the E3 stream and the grass seemed to draw out much further.  Not quite as far as in X due to it being meshes and not billboards but still a good range out.

First thing I noticed was that we could actually hear the in-game audio this time around and I've got to say that if I weren't going to buy the game already, the music alone would have convinced me.

This, along with Mario Odyssey forced me to get a switch a week ago. I can't wait for this game.

Can you play it at Gamescom? I'm heading there tomorrow so I'll check it out. I need some jrpg goodnight on the switch.

Look at the lighthing and the water. It's above XCX. Same for the rock texture. Didn't looked at the draw distance though ...

I was viewing it on my phone. Going on my computer helped a lot since the stream wasn't the highest of quality.

After viewing it on a bigger screen, I'm impressed. since the actual game won't be like the stream (along with improvements up until its release), I'm excited to see how it'll turn out
