I thought that part was funny and probably true but he's right in general that MS really need exclusives to help pitch it's console. It's hilarious that there's people who still think exclusives don't sell consoles. If MS plans to launch a console for next gen, they need to build some studios so they can compete better

Well of course, but he explained the situation very well. As far as exclusives, its not that he spoke about exclusives, but he said Sony seems to know whom the core fanbase is on their brand and what they like. They will buy what diverse games Sony puts out even if it sells slightly near or over  two million and beyond. The lack of growth, foresight and identity of the brand in what they deliver to their consumers is a big problem. He also did a comparison between the Xbox and Playstations growth from the beginning to end in studio growth. He also pointed out the comparison of Sony and Nintendos exclusives why that is carrying their sales despite the fact that people say exclusives are not helping with the steady sales of consoles. Nothing major...it was just a thoughts video.

Well MS has published a very diverse list of games, even if they have little potential of being a hit. So you can't just give Sony credit for that.

I think MS made the mistake of chasing gimmicks a bit too much. There was the Kinect stuff which gave them a big casual following, then there was an online focus, and now MS is really pushing the core stuff again like they did before. Sony is guilty of similar things but did a better job creating new core IPs over the years. Eitherway, strong content has kept coming from both companies and that's obvious to people that don't blindly side with one company.

Exclusve help all platforms, but 3rd party is arguably more crucial for Sony and MS platforms.

I watched the video. Despite his harsh delivery, what he said made sense. If I had to be honest with myself, even though I prefer Xbox, they've always just been a few steps behind PlayStation in the mindshare of the gaming world. They just benefited from some mistakes of the competition during the 7th gen (and made a few of their own mistakes as well).

I like them though. That justifies their existence in my home. I'm just looking forward to a return to the days when I can buy the Xbox version of any third party game and know I'm getting the best (console) version.

Do you remember at the months prior to reveal people were trying to prove MS had more studios than Sony (after they made the investment) and we only basically only saw Gears and Halo coming from the new studios? And they have closed some of the studios before they even released anything.

Yeah, last gen was paintful towards the end for xbox because their exclusives were severely lacking and the investments they said they were making just wouldnt surfae. It was just bad. heh....not good at all. They used the Witcher 2 to save them but the last two years after Kinects hype fell off the face of the earth it was just that slow burn waiting for Gears in 2011 and Halo in 2012. They will end this gen the same way but in reverse. Gears will drop last. It suvks for the Xbox One X owners because they will only get two years with the console before they have to contemplate dropping another $500.

For me it have been much talk and excuses to keep a gamers first image with the fanbase and fans have forgave too much.

There's also the fact that she spams the idea that the XBX is going to not only outsell the PS4 and Switch this holiday, but propel the XBO ahead of the PS4 in total sales, which I'm seemingly the alone in recognizing. It's been going on for months. I'm starting to feel like William Shatner's character in the Twilight Zone, where he's the only one that can see the monster on the plane's wing. :)
