I never got the hype for Adventure Time. Just goddamn awful except Jake and Marceline, Finn has got to be one of the most garbage characters ever.

I appreciate the simplicity of adventure time. Nothing too complicated and the adventures were pretty well written. Also all the characters had an interesting history so it was nice to see the episodes about their past. Had some of the best spin offs ive ever seen to, the female Finn and Jake episode was really creative and cool. Can't wait for the final season.

I don't think I've ever heard AT described as simple. I'd say it's one of the more complex cartoons between its character relationships, philosophy and backstory.

Actually now that I think about it, I like pretty much every character except Finn.

I liked some of the episodes a lot.  But ... I barely remember them. Cloud Princess, Ice King, and that one Unicorn were so funny. Marceline and Jake were great too.

What don't you like about him?

He's not interesting, bland, and the jokes around him are really unfunny. The randomness in Adventure Time only worked when the characters were already weird like the gameboy character or Lumpy space princess, but Finn is boring generic protaganist until WOWAOHAHAHAOAHAH so oooo wacky.

Like I don't get how Jake can be Finn's best friend, Finn is just so boring. His voice is really annoying too.

I did stop watching at about the time the characters got more backstory though, I think I stopped right when they started developing and fleshing out Marceline, so maybe finn improved. I think the idea of the gender swap episode is really cool.

I think Finn's role is mostly to serve as the "human element" of the show, like how in Godzilla movies you need human characters so the audience has someone to connect to. Finn isn't supposed to be weird and out there, his role is to make the show relatable, through his relationships and struggles. In my opinion, this wouldn't work unless Finn felt believable and I think that he really does. His sense of humor, his decision making and the conflicts he goes through are all typical of coming of age, just filtered through the weirdness of Ooo.

Without Finn, the show would lose most of what makes it great and devolve into "lol, so random" nonsense because he is what makes the show so human.

I'll never forgive them for cancelling young justice.

We need more Steven Universe.

yeah, with weird abstract or accentric shows, it's great to have a protaganist that is easy to relate to. This formula has been used before, which is why it's strange that Adventure Time sucks at it.

Is not this a common thing for CN? when I was a kid I remember they had marathons of Dragon Ball Z, Naruto or any popular show every couple weeks

Marathons are pretty common but even without them Teen Titans Go gets way more air time than any other CN show.

40/40/20 by far the best TTG episode for that very reason.

You know I was always wondering why no one ever used the dollar sign for $ony, but then I realized they have no money so it would be pointless.
