I don't have a 4k monitor or tv, and for me the PS Quad Pro is worth it.

I am going to copy paste my reply from the last thread like this.

Yes, it was.

For most people, getting a pro is not worth it.
In your case I say go for it since you have a 4k TV.
I had a launch ps4 and changed to a pro.
I am satisfied even though I am playing at 1080p.
Boost mode on older games, shorter load times, and (for me) a larger HD

HDR is available on all PS4s.

While that is true you only get HDR with 4K TVs. Why run a 4K TV with a Slim?! that's kinda stupid as the built in upscaler will make the image quality look worse even than on a regular 1080p TV.

The 2017 1080p/720p Sony TVs will be running 10-bit panels with HDR.

I post this video of my game room every chance I get: https://youtu.be/Z4j6dXUJBYw

In that room, there's:
43 inch Sony Bravia X800D
Shitty PC
PS4 Pro
Wii U
Nintendo Switch
Xbox 360 S
Xbox One S
PS3 Slim
Bose (900? Whatever they are, they were a big deal).
PSP 3000
PS Vita 3G
New Nintendo 3DS
PSVR

In the closet there's:
Wii
Ouya
PS TV
In the living room there's another Xbox One 1tb and a PS4

In the bedroom there's another 500gb Xbox One

I own most of the"most own" games on the market for every system. On PS4, Uncharted, Horizon, Crash, Gravity Rush 2, Nier 2, and several other games are purchased digitally. I don't even slightly regret the purchase of a PS4 Pro but I don't think it's a great big leap, either. Often times, it's not even noticeable, if it exists at all. I just like owning everything.

Buy it. Enjoy it. Don't get your hopes too high.

I had a ps4 pro when it launched. Eventually sold it and got a slim bundle that had a really good discount instead. The difference from a regular ps4 to the pro was pretty meh to me since there isn't much standardization as to what you will get and it is heavily left to the devs as far as effort goes. Most, at least from what I can tell, just do the basics and call it a day. So your milage will vary.

The arguments and other etc that I made and people made against me are in here:

As we stated in the other thread already....it's pretty obvious you don't own a 4K TV so your opinion doesnt really relate to the guy's situation.

You work for some company that peddles 4K or something?  Your zeal for this technology is beyond belief.  It's so extreme that you assume everybody is lying that doesn't agree with you on the value.

Boost mode and faster loading times are even worth it even if one only has got a 1080p TV imho.

What is boost mode? Are the loading times confirmed to be faster and why?

Boost mode allows the PS4 pro to use its power advantage over the PS4 (slim) in games that dI'd not get a pro patch. This results in more stable framerates most of the time and it might even redult in faster loading times, because the CPU is also 30% faster.

Please excuse my (probally) poor grammar

That first sentence doesn't make any sense considering the rest of your statement.

No, it's perfectly clear...if one has just a 1080p TV Pro's boost in performance or image quality might be debatable. If one does have a 4K TV it is not.

The guy never stated he had one, he just said he didn't notice enough of a difference to value the 100$ more. So where did I accuse anyone of lying?! No one and I mean no one would question the extra value if he would have seen let's say Horizon in 4K and HDR. And no, that's not debatable. Do you own a 4K TV?! Have you seen how a normal HD output looks on a 4K TV?!
