While that is true you only get HDR with 4K TVs. Why run a 4K TV with a Slim?! that's kinda stupid as the built in upscaler will make the image quality look worse even than on a regular 1080p TV.

The 2017 1080p/720p Sony TVs will be running 10-bit panels with HDR.
