If you google border walls, most pictures are of fences that have gaps or are "transparent" in some way. They aren't these Great Wall of China clones. They are tall steel beams that are too close for someone to sneak between, but a gap to see through.

who wouldn't? lol.  Trump is literally expecting people to be tossing over bags of drugs.  It scares me to think that a good portion of the US actually thinks the wall is a good idea.

That's just one example of the use of a wall that you can see the other side of. The most obvous one would be seeing peopel approachig the wall, so you can intercept them sooner. Otherwise you would only see someone when they are on top of the wall. Or what about people digging a hole. If you couldn't see the other side, people could just walk up to teh wall and start diggin and the U.S. woudl be none the wiser.

Or ya know, just don't build a wall.......and use that money towards universal healthcare.  Most illegal immigrants come from expired visas anyways, so the wall wouldn't even fix the issue it's trying to fix.

There is such a thing as security cameras.  They are used quite often and are rather inexpensive.  Plus, I'm pretty sure the wall would have them whether it is transparent or not...

By the time it's finished it will be so transparent you can't even see its there. Actually it will be an invisible fence, patrolled by automatic drones shooting everything that moves. The future is here. Or a good old fashioned minefield would work too.

A giant glass wall would be better for America. They can make funny videos of immigrants faceplanting against the glass wall. It isn't America if you can't make money out of a stupid idea.
