NintenDominion: Nintendo Switch Lite Announced, Coming 9/20/19

Forums - Nintendo Discussion - NintenDominion: Nintendo Switch Lite Announced, Coming 9/20/19

Looking at view counts, Nintendo's treehouse stuff has really become a big deal. I remember when they first started this format it was nowhere near as big (or well presented). They really have the format down to a science.

Also, seeing Trials of Mana in the Treehouse sold me. I had some concerns it might be like the Secret of Mana remake but this is looking way, way better.

I didn't realise how much I needed Astral Chain until I watched the Treehouse gameplay. Also nice to get a good look at Fire Emblem: Three Houses and it's mechanics, though I'm still not hot for that game as I'd like to be.

I think the Zelda treehouses from the year before Switch launch were one of the best things ever done at E3.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

My only real regret from this year's Nintendo E3 is the lack of Metroid Prime 4, but I guess they don't have enough done to show it off.

Some days I just blow up.

This is how Banjo's arrival is going down on some boards.

In all the hype around BOTW2, Banjo in Smash, Witcher 3, etc, it kinda snuck by almost without fanfare that, after about a year of leaks, secrecy, and playing coy, the Spyro Reignited Trilogy is finally confirmed for Switch.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cDKpAvRJ120

In a couple of months, we will have Mario, Crash Bandicoot, Spyro, Sonic, Rayman, pretty much all the classic platformer mascots under one roof.

As someone who grew up during the PS1 vs N64 console war, seeing first the N.Sane Trilogy and now this on Nintendo is kinda like that feeling when Sonic first came to Gamecube, it's kinda surreal, sort of like if 20 years from now Uncharted or Halo is playable on Nintendo.

Another interesting one that got lost in the crowd of bigger games is Asphalt 9; been wanting this to come to Switch for a while, even pestered the dev about it on Twitter, lulz. Looks like the kind of over-the-top arcade racer I miss from the N64/PS1 era, plus it's free!

I am surprised that you aren't asking the question if Spyro will be all on card, considering that only the first game shipped on disc on the PS4 and XB1. It's doable to put it all on a 16 GB card, but that doesn't mean that it will happen. Therefore I conclude that you have zero interest in buying Spyro, because otherwise you'd make a fuzz about it.

Halo is likely to be playable on Switch eventually, so I don't think that will be a wait of another 20 years.

The racing game I've been looking forward to is GRID Autosport, but unfortunately everything points to an overpriced port, so the game will have to rot at retailers until the price gets dropped to a reasonable level.

Legend11 correctly predicted that GTA IV (360+PS3) would outsell SSBB. I was wrong.
