I don't get why it's taken Nintendo this long to put SNES games onto Switch. They've still yet to announce any as far as I know.

Also, question about Switch Online; If you unsubscribe from the service do you get to keep the NES games you downloaded?

They're probably waiting until the one year mark of Nintendo's online service to maximize re-subscriptions.

You don't download individual NES games.  All the games are accessible through an NES Online app, which checks if you're still subscribed.  I'm not sure if it checks every time you open it or once per week or whatever, but if you unsubscribe you will no longer be able to use the NES Online app when it checks your subscription status.

So you have to keep subscribing or they're gone forever? If so, that's bullshit.

.... Thats like the half the reason you subscribe to it.Obviously Nintendo will keep it behind the subscription, otherwise you would subscribe to one month, download all games, then stop subscribing.Same as PS Plus and Live.

But that just gives me less incentive to use the damn service to begin with.

...How?

If you were to subscribe to the service just to download all the games and unsubscribe, you are the type of customer that no companies wants or cares about.

I just want to KEEP my classic games, ok? My old consoles and carts will wear out over time and I need a back up plan.

Then you have to buy them. But thats a whole another problem, not of the subscription itself.

Point is, you want to buy them, not subscribe to a service. So this is a service you wouldnt subscribe in the first place, so said subscription wouldnt appeal to you either way.

I only used it because I have few ways of playing old games now, and can't play them on Switch unless it's through compilations.

That's why I really want Nintendo to make more compilations for Switch.

Yeah, I can agree with you on this.

Unfortunely the Nintendo Switch Online subscriptions are already making alot of money for Nintendo and I dont see them taking value out of that subscription.

Then get a WiiU and download them.

Yet they've hardly put any value into it. We still need a stupid smartphone app for voice chat.

Well, that I agree with you.Nintendo should really improve their service.

Did anyone else see the Detective Pikachu movie? I found it quite enjoyable even though it was predictable. Wish there was more battling though.

just an fyi thing, I picked up saints row 3 there llast week and after getting to play it I gotta say.... that port isn't really smooth, looks low res and fairly weak frame rate considering the switch is capable of doom and mk11 from current gen, to see it somewhat fail at a game from the 360 generation is a big of a shame. just said Id give a heads up if people were considering dropping cash on it.

....

not just choppy, but also had a softlock after 3 missions which required game to be closed to continue.

Why not check me out on youtube and help me on the way to 2k subs over at www.youtube.com/stormcloudlive

Actually, I think I've seen more battling in trailers for the movie than the first 5 chapters of the game it's based on.

Yeah the movie's based on it, and although I haven't played the game I did read about the plot, and from what I gathered the filmmakers diverted from the game a bit. If they're going to do that why not add some battles to make it more exciting? If the storyline was written better and less predictable I can see why they didn't want to detract from it but as it stands it's pretty mediocre. Adding a little more pokemon flare you can only get from battles would've spiced things up. There was only two segments in the movie where there was actual battling and one of those didn't really involve the main cast. It was mostly them running from pokemon whenever they were confronted. Even still I thought it was fun, Ryan Reynolds really sold the character for me.
