Forums - Gaming Discussion - A good example of why Sony Consoles always succeed.

Playstation is the best bang for your bucks in the gaming world

Bet reminder: I bet with Tboned51 that Splatoon won't reach the 1 million shipped mark by the end of 2015. I win if he loses and I lose if I lost.

So are you saying it's the best hooker out there?

PS gets Japanese games because its the system of choice for Japanese developers. This is the reason it will be the system to get for the foreseeable future unless Japanese developers start to look at the Xbox and Nintendo system more. As for myself, its the platform of choice for fighting games so I will always have a PS system in my home. Intersting enough, Sony almost let this go during the 360 days because XBl was a much stable and playable service for MP play.

Probably not the first to point this out but.... proof that Sony consoles don't always succeed = Vita

The PSV is significantly better than the 3DS. It has one GOTY game on it (The Walkind Dead) and the 3DS has none. Another success for Playstation.

Not to be a stick in the mud but didn't Oblivion, Fallout 3 and Bioshock *originally*(as in year-of-release) have very poor ports? I thought a big sticking point for the 360 was the fact that it's ports were really good whereas PS3's were bad for the first few years? I wouldn't really know though.

This year Nintendo will definitely win, if not for Zelda than for Mario. It's kind of a shame, though, because this year has the best 1st party and 3rd party exclusives i've seen on ps4. I honestly think if God of War 4 released this year it would probably have a high chance of GOTY, since it's had so much hype and beyond that it's a coming of age cinematic experience.

Best Place To Play!!! <3

I wonder why Nintendo games don't get game of the year more often, despite consistently having high scores. It doesn't make sense to me. Like why is there no Galaxy or Galaxy 2?

Shouldnt there be a Nintendo game or two?

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

We might correct this issue this year

Because there's a lot of bias against them from mainstream outlets when it comes to GOTY awards. I think it's something of an issue with the public - they don't want to annoy 12 year olds who check their website and think Nintendo games are for "kids". If anything Gamespot's 2013 award to A Link Between Worlds feels like a very crappy attempt to offset that balance (ALBW wasn't even Nintendo's best game that year, honestly).

What was it then? Certainly not 3D World
