Forums - Nintendo Discussion - SNES classic will be 100€ in Europe, 20€ more than in the US

Does Brexit have anything to do with this?

wow what a joke, i can get you a real SNES and a Flashcart for that money

I doubt that a lot.

Even if you could find both those items (which I would love to see where from because I've had little luck getting an everdrive for less than that price, never mind a SNES and controllers....

Or ya know... a HDMI port mod for the SNES console either.

Complete SNES 60€, Flashcart 67€.

I take the real SNES that plays and sounds original without emulation over the better video quality

WTF? why?

79$ USD = 69 euro's

Why is it 31 euro (35$ usd) more expensive here?

Value added tax which counts for about 16 to 20 euros. Also it is 80 usd. Please Europeans learn how taxation works. Everytime I see this thread either it be it games or consoles.

We sure know better how it works in our countries than you. We have the same prices like america without any tax to be paid later. The PS4 Pro costs 400€ tax included, for example.

So explain games because clearly you do not know how taxation in conversion works at all. Let me guess the that new god of war game is totally rip off why am I paying 10 euro more.

Like you are still getting ripped off by 10 or so euro but not 20 euro like you claim.

Don't Play Stationary 4 ever. Switch!

Nintendo and Europe (pricewise, since the Switch was a bit more expensive during preorder season to) remains a troublesome relation

Please excuse my (probally) poor grammar

Place holder price.

If it isn't turnbased it isn't worth playing   (mostly)

That is the version of the Everdrive which you need to run Starfox and yoshi's Island, the Super FX chip games do not run on the €67 model

And that's still not going to do much with a HDTV, you're going to be looking at suffering your TV's Game mode to use this with an RF cable, unless you go for a HDMI mod for the SNES which is going to set you back far more than €60

Even going with a cheap convertor like this is going to knock the price welllll above the €100 of the SNES classic

http://www.ebay.ie/itm/AV-Audio-Video-Scart-to-Coaxial-HDMI-Adapter-Converter-Box-/142417462935?hash=item2128be0697:g:1jgAAOSwpONZROhU

Everdrive SD2SNES $197

SNES $60

HDMI convertor (awful cheap model) $40

Not only is this method gone €200 over budget but you're also going to be doing some software piracy to get the games like this, unless you want to start actually shelling out for the 21 titles on the SNES Mini, one of which was never officially released for ripping to a ROM.

They always used to cost 10€ more, if you wait some months the prices fall down the exact price like you would pay in the US. But Hardware was always the same price
