No... it wasn't delayed. It was cancelled.

A delayed game (TLG, BotW) is in development and is intended to release.

No, there is a huge difference between delaying and cancelling a game.
Nintendo obviously cancelled Star Fox 2 on SNES, otherwise they would be working on this title for more than 20 years now... It's definitely not a delay.

I like to imagine one guy in a corner working part time few minutes a day for 20+ years to finally finish Star Fox 2.

Please correct me if I'm mistaken...
But I remember reading that Star Fox 2 was indeed finished; they decided not to release it thinking it would be smarter to start work on Star Fox 64...
I've been told that the finished rom has leaked, but I've also been told that we've only got near-finished roms that crash at certain points or are modded by fans to properly work...
One of the Star Fox 2 developers said in a recent interview that Nintendo has been sitting on it for twenty years...
Am I correct or is Google pulling the wool over my eyes???

Have a nice day...

Well, it could be, but someone would have to research it to see if that's indeed the case. Because there may be some other games with longer delays that we're missing.

It's not a delay if it got cancelled, so no

The game was never released so can that really be considered a delay?

Earthbound Beginnings is just the translated title for Mother 1 in Japan, which got released in Japan 1989.So it was never delayed, technically.

Uh it was going to be released in the US. You can't play semantics. It took far longer to come out. Region is irrelvant. It's a game with a planned release and that release took 26 years as opposed to 22.

Region is 100% relevant. It WAS released, and it WAS fully playable legally by anybody in any region willing to import the necessary components. If we're going to play by your rules, then like 90% of games in the history of gaming have been delayed obscenely long in China.
