The NES has a ton of games/franchises that deserve a proper comeback with today's formats. *some of these have gotten sequels in more recent times, but I'm talking about a complete franchise reinstatement using existing tech and by a capable developer.

Crystalis
Faxanadu
Little Nemo Dream Master
Shadowgate
Maniac Mansion
Contra
Final Fight or Double Dragon
Blaster Master
Boy and His Blob

I also have a guilty pleasure request for Cybermorph on the Atari Jaguar with similar tron-ish, mystical, sci-fi, highly artistic graphics.

Oh, I almost forgot Black and White on the PC!

Henry Hatsworth in the Puzzling Adventure

One of my top five DS games and easily the most underrated game I've ever played. It's a puzzle/platformer with a hint of beat-em-up and it manages to make all these things mesh so incredibly well. The characters and storyline are nonsensical, but hilarious, the difficulty curves nicely and you always have your pick of upgrades allowing for a multitude of play styles. If you are a fan of puzzle games and platformers I cannot recommend this game highly enough.

- Karnov
- Actraiser
- Faxanadu
- StarTropics
- Aventures of Lolo
- Lemmings
- R.C. Pro-AM

A new Faxanadu game would be awesome with a 2.5D perspective ala Samus Returns.

I'm just not a die hard hobbyist. Even movie buffs find time to watch their favorite movies, they don't feel those movies become redundant just because something newer has released. Jim Ryan from Sony sends me a worrying message tbh.

I may like games a lot, but I'm not one of those gamers who buys everything and builds up a huge backlog. I buy games I almost know for certain I'll like or what look interesting. I don't get ahead of myself.

When I was little I'd play Crash Bandicoot, Spyro, Mario 64 over and over yeah. But I haven't really changed much in that regard, as I still play those games a lot now. More than I play new games in fact.

You and me are pretty similar, I guess. I also tend to buy only those games which I probably like. Only a few turds have found their way into my library this way.

I can't tell you how many times I've watched Ace Ventura 2 (When Nature Calls).  I could probably almost act out every scene.  Funny that it has a not so good rating on imdb.

I'm that way with Anchorman lol, every word. And more to the point, I know games like Mario 64, Super Metroid, Spyro 2, Crash 2 like the back of my hand. And it's like these backlog builders don't give themselves enough oppurtunity to know a game anymore, and apparently it seems Sony don't want you to either.

Well let us see... There are numerous EA IPs that are being sit on like Road Rash, Desert Strike, Theme Park, Magic Carpet and General Chaos which will probably never see the light of day again.

Another Power Stone would be cool.

I'm waiting so much for a new magic carpet!

I always find it funny whenever a developer said that a computer/console lacks the power to morph terrain, this game did it over 20 years ago - without even a 3D graphcs card!

I'd love a new Magic Carpet game or even a remake/remaster... with VR support!
