I think it'll be down on both 2015 and 2016. Though I'm honestly surprised as I thought that 2016 was already down on 2015.

It is on VGChartz. I added 2015's extra week to 2016, just a minor difference there.

nice comparison, thanks

would be phenomenal if the PS4 could avoid dips below 200k in 2017, but looks highly unlikely as there were prolonged periods of sub 200k weeks (even some sub 150k) in 2015/16 and I doubt it can outperform those years overall

Thank you and you're welcome!

If there's one big thing it'll have going for it this year that it didn't in years prior, is that it has 3 different models selling at once vs. 1
And if those E3 rumors of the Slim and Pro both getting price drops are true, then I can see it staying above 200k for the rest of the year.

Great thread. I hope the summer baseline this year is better then last.

I think this year will at least match last year's. We got a lot of big releases still, including RDR2 and Battlefront 2. We'll also have a $199 PS4 this holiday season and a $349 Pro (possibly $299.) I think next year is when we'll start to see declines as we get closer to the PS5.
