Forums - Politics Discussion - Why Are Feminists Evil?

Feminism is an extreme left wing ideology that is based on Communism.
Feminism = Communism.

My point is very clear. There is no way of knowing how many feminists are crazy, so saying most of them shows your bias. Nothing more, nothing less.

"Your a man, so your just biased and nothing you say counts"

Great.... nice talking with you, and thanks for qouteing me just to go "your biased and wrong, because your a man".

I can understand your opinion is differnt, because you where dragged to a convention of feminist and meet some nice ones.

Most people probably dont, and their opinions are just based off of the most crazy and vocal ones, that seem to dominate the media though.

Theres nothing wrong with that, or haveing such a opinion "feminist are nuts", because alot of them probably are, and thats the ones that get through to people online.

Ive met a self proclaimed feminist or two, though my life, and they still seemed abit nuts with all the girl power & man hateing.

I havnt been to any conventions or the like for feminists, and dont plan on either.

So my experiances have been differnt than yours.

To me feminism is more about hateing men, than wanting equal rights for women.

Nice strawman. Never said it, but nice try anyway.

You used the word bias.

The only context of that, is that Im a man, thus Im wrong.

Ive had differnt experiances with feminism than you, but you dont respect it, you go "your wrong, your a man".

I think it's less about feminism itself, and more about radicals stigmatizing the entire group. Meanwhile, the more reasonable members of the group tend not to speak up against their own, giving the impression they're in agreement simply by assocation, which gives the additional impression the whole group aligns on even some of the most radical (or sometimes idiotic) viewpoints.

For example, I know if I read an article about how a game I like is sexist for using a "save the princess" trope, while completely ignoring the context (or how said princess is the strongest mortal character in-universe), I'm much more inclined to ignore these individuals in the future, despite the fact that I feel strongly in male/female equality.

This doesn't apply to just feminism, of course. You'll find the exact thing on console wars, amusingly enough.

Men and women are equal in the western world now. They have the same rights. Women might even have a few more. Its not needed here anymore. Go fight for women in places were they barely have any rights.

In other words go to the Middle East and chop up the abusive husbands?

Yes I know it sounds crazy but unfortunately that's often the only way to stop the abuser.

Well lets start with calling it a crime and convict them first at least.

In a feminist's mind, it's because women need more privileges, and having grown men busy with video games instead of them isn't going to help their self importance. In a gamer's mind, it's because they are annoying, and they are for the reason I stated.

I'm not one who is bothered by women being in video games, even in a few instances where it seemed that they really stretched to make a character female.  It's not a big deal for me.

There are a few issues with feminism that cause people to view it in a negative light.

1) Feminism is not a gender-neutral term.  If equality was truly the goal rather than simply advocacy for women, they wouldn't use the word feminism.  It doesn't mean equality any more than masculism does.

2) Many Feminists frequently use false or misleading stats and examples to intentionally distort situations.  An example is the "wage gap", which ignores variables that lead to differences in pay and incorrectly attributes it entirely to gender.  It's about as valid as saying people in New York City make more than people in South Dakota, which must be a sign of discrimination against people in South Dakota.

3) Many feminists blame men for every problem under the sun.  In many cases men are not the primary cause of these problems.

Those are good points.

Those false statistics ultimately hurt the cause, too.  I remember someone once posting a long list of feminist stats as an argument of inequality.  Even just looking at a handful, I found several that were highly controversial and some that were just flat-out manipulations of data.  One of them was the infamous case where the "researcher" used a definition of rape that included pretty much everyone.  I think I qualified because a stray cat once rubbed against my leg.

All that does is make all the arguments feel untrustworthy.

Lol no. Most feminist aren't evil.

Nope. Not even close. That's an addition and an assumption you made all on your own.

Whether you are a man or a woman, if you make a generalization about a group without looking at any evidence and you form a view about that group based on limited experience, you are most certainly biased. Your gender has nothing to do with that. Why you'd jump to that conclusion is beyond me.

Well, not all of them.

For the radicals, they've discovered a way to hide their own sexism/racism behind a victim complex that no one can criticise, no matter how illogical the shit that comes out of their mouth is.

As long as people continue to leak these views outside of their online echo-chambers, people will push back and Trump will have his 2nd term.
