No I'm not saying they're the same, where did I say that...  I said that sexism is very present in our society and parts of america treat it like it doesn't exist..

You said if they told those jokes into a microphone, they would be in the same situation as a guy who sexually harrassed his female coworkers and told them he would make their life a living hell if they ever told anyone...

Oh that's what you're talking about...  You wanna go ahead and test it?  Start tweeting sexist jokes every day and I'd bet you'd lose your job.  It would take much less for a normal employee to be considered a liability than it would O'Reilly. All it takes is for the wrong person to notice it.

We actually had a VGChartz member a little while ago who posted a perfect example.  He was a Walmart employee and a hardcore Trumpy.  His friend made some racist display out of walmart products and he claims that he only watched and didn't participate himself.  Both were fired on the spot for it.

Trump said he did nothing wrong.

Makes sense.
Trump thinks it's not wrong to kiss women and grab them by their genitals without approval.

No he just thinks they'll let you if you have money. For many women that's not incorrect.

This pleases me greatly. About time that dickhead got fired. Good on his advertisers for pulling out.

Bet with Adamblaziken:

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.

It doesnt matter if "you hear worse" or "have seen worse". That serves a no basis for anything because it still doesnt make it any less wrong. Every person has to be judged on his own.

Well I think releasing secret recordings of private conversations is wrong, but what do I know...

I don't know him, but this sounds like a typical overreaction. I mean, if he gets convicted, sure, fire him, but until the judgement is made, the proper course of action would probably be more along the lines of simply freezing his career.

Alright, but the one who did it still lost his job.  And the fact that they both lost their jobs instantly proves my point.  Those kinds of jokes aren't tolerated anywhere but in sealed locker rooms where only your friends can hear them.

They're reportedly paid $13 million in past sexual assualt settlements involving O'Reilly. I don't know if it's a "overreaction". How many times would you be able to harrass people at your work and still keep your job?
