still, first days number we are talking here. The 3ds was able to sell way more with less perceived value.

 

At least, it looks like is doing way better than the wii u

Of course it does. The Wii U is a dead platform. The Switch is sold out virtually everywhere. BOTW has a very limited amount of people it can sell to.

And yeah, Horizon is a new IP. But a heavily marketed, very safe IP, by a very popular Sony developer. It's not as if it was Nier or something. Not that Nier is a new IP.

Very safe?

This has been the opposite of safe for a developer like GG.  A company whose entire fundamentals and core are based in a single franchise in a different genre for the past 13 years tackling a new IP, in a new setting, new genre, new engine, with new staff. 

Very popular?

They've never really been that popular. They've once in 17 years managed to produce a game that sold 3 million copies. They were in 9th position in terms of sales on the PS3 between first and second party and 7th just including first party. This is truly their breakout game and puts them in the big leagues.

I don't get the Nier comparison.

Why are people so mad Horizon is outselling Zelda. Believe what you want about what game is better. Who cares which game sells more. They're both suppose to be two great games. How about being happy these two great games are out?

Lol wolflink it seems people like you are the ones making this more than what it is. I don't see Horizon fans trashing Zelda. Who cares about a damn meta score. If you want to look at facts. Horizon is making more $$$$ currently than Zelda. But that shouldn't matter. People are dogging Horizon because they're mad it's outselling Zelda. Get over and just enjoy whichever game you think is best
