It's clearly you do not understand that Trump and the Republicans aren't friends, the Republicans have acted on their own just like what the Democratic party does, they are both sheep-parties looking for $$$ wherever the opportunities pop-up.  Selling our information have been in the best interess of corrupted politicians on both sides, whoever in the Congress can get a law passed, 70% of every law passed in the US and in the world in general isn't even read and considerated before It get passed because there are so much paper-work that reading them all would lead to absolutele disaster.

I read the Washington Post article about it, there was no actual Evidence that Trump had anything to do with it, just someone who possible hated him like the rest of the republican-party did, which wasn't actually proven in the article but i am willing to assume someone in the republican-party made it happen, something that will enrich all the corrupted politicians who is working against the people for monetary gains, after all it's a 150b$ business.
