Forums - Politics Discussion - Trump's Approval Rating In The Toilet

Didn't people learn from the election not to trust polls?

The polling was not *that* far off.  Trump did lose the popular vote, he basically won election on a razor thin margin from three states which amounted to about 80,000 votes.

Polling has a margin of error, but you're kidding yourself if you think Donald Trump secretly has a 60% approval rating or something and all the different polling is off by a margin of 30%.

The decline of Christainity and religion in general in the West is due to a technologically advanced society with an advanced popular cultural scene.

You can't expect people to live by the teachings of Middle Eastern goat herders from 2000 years ago forever. So blame that on the computer chip, the internet, the automobile, the Beatles, rock music, video games, whatever.

Religion will always lose it's grip on society as it advances technologically. It will be more pronounced 100 years now, who the hell knows we may have even conquered death by then (or not), rendering religion further irrelevant.

The clock is never going to go back to 1950, sorry, and people are not going to be ashamed of having sex either. Sorry, and Marx never talked about any of that shit either, nor was it any policy pushed by the Soviet Union, lol, not sure how it magically got associated with that. If anything the driving force for that is capitalism. Sex sells. Plain and simple. It's not communist Russia or China that gave us the mini-skirt or Play Boy magazine or silicon tits, those are inventions driven for profit.

Then tell me why Russia is rapidly moving to re-imbrace Christianity after nearly 80 years of Marxism and Athiesm?  Why is China converting to Christianity so rapidly that it will be largest Christian country in absolute numbers in just a few years.  Both of these countries have been plagued with Marxism for the better part of a century and are now turning against it.  Once the virus is gone, the body returns to a healthy state of operation as will happen in the west one day.

Well in Russia it's being pushed by the government as a way to control the populace because the church endorses Putin, so they are useful. The average monthly salary in Russia is $250.

China ... not really bro, lol. China is largely secular and will continue to be for a long time.

Religion needs poverty and a lack of education generally to thrive too, as China/Russia develop broader middle classes more people will center their life on the oppurtunity of GETTING PAID and getting theirs.

It's partly why Islam thrives in the Middle East because all those countries have dire poverty for the average joe, so they cling to stone age belief systems. In the West it's a totally different story.

That's what makes the world go round (MONEY), the world is never going backwards, in fact as technology advances at a faster and faster rate IMO you're going to be even more bitter about where the world is in 50 years because you will have trouble recoginizing it. That genie is out of the bottle, and it's actually capitalism that drives it.

Captialism creates intense desire to want to create product that pushes industry forward, industry pushes forward by selling people shit like cola, computers, clothing, parfume, luxury cars, etc. etc. etc. We need endless demand, so to have that we need a society obsessed with buying shit and you sure as hell need to keep up with the neighbors. It's not cultural marxism ... Marx would hardly recognize the world of today, lol. It's hyper capitalism and capitalism by it's nature is global. Markets need to be global to maximize profit and we need wider markets globally to continually feed profit targets.

I'm not crapping on captialism either, but that's the reality of it, maybe in the future we will advance to more of a Star Trek like society where we have the means to travel far in outer space and set up colonies outside of Earth and that becomes more of humanity's focus than the profit motive.

Who believes in these surveys? These lunatic liberals have no limits with lies.

Have you heard your president talk?  He has lied more than any US president or US presidential candidate in known record.

Liberal hyperbole. No one has kept track of how much each US president or presidental candidate has lied. It would probably fill up every building in a large city if they did. Just the Clintons would fill up a library or two.

last i hear his approval was skyrocketing...

.......

get it...

Aeolus, I actually wish it were hyperbole.  I really do.  Because I don't like the idea of having a president that must have every word scrutinized for validity.

For the record, I'm no fan of Clinton so please don't use such logical fallacies (I don't like A so I must like B).

My point was that politicians lie and Trump is not the biggest liar by far. Most career politians have probably have more lied than Trump. I used the clintons as a example of that. I'm sure there's plenty of Republicans that have lied just as much. I don't really care that the left wants to follow him around like my baby ducks, fact checking any sound that comes from him.  It's a bit hypocritical of them though. Saying that Trump is more than any president or candiate in known record is hyperbole.  It's just something some gullible college kid would believe without using their brain for critical thinking.

Nixon 62%. Impeached. Trump 36% commits treason. Still in office.

These are early approval ratings though, Nixon of course went lower, but that bodes poorly for Trump as the first 100 days are supposed to be the easy ones. He will go lower than 36%.

Treason? How?

Obama is no longer 65%
