Forums - Gaming Discussion - Splatoon 2 Testfire runs at 530p undocked and 720p when docked

Docked :

Undocked:

"Yes, based on this pic, around 530p. This game maybe uses a dynamic res like Zelda"

Wow! And it still looks beautiful!

Looks like hot garbage in both modes

Man, just staring at those screen shots makes me want to jump back in. The game is seriously addictive. Even when you lose (or are dispatched unceremoniously with a curling stone) you want to jump right back in to fight another day.

The shooting and moving mechanics seem refined and the graphics really pop :)

Tis crazy low!

The game does not look much different than the first. How did they not get this running at 720/1080 like Mario Kart Switch?

Is this fact or just fiction.

Wow... that is.... bloody awful.

Yeah, maybe I won't get a Switch this holiday after all, I knew it was a weak machine but this...

Might wait for a substantial pricedrop now, I really wish Nintendo just made a home console now, this is not the machine I wanted.

Can you be more dramatic please?

Graphics look terrible to me. Very basic limited texturing with often repeated textures. Awful aliasing on the portable image. Is this because of the 60fps and maybe high wifi use for multiplayer I wonder.

However totally accept its about the game not the performance but Splatoon isn't actually a game I like anyway.

Everyday it seems you just have to keep lowering your expectations of the Switch performance level. Not impressed to say the least.
