Well, as I said in my first post, I knew he would do something along these lines but even not giving this game a proper amount of time without rushing it is pretty absurd.

He's still someone that I'm able to trust when it comes to being more realistic than others but I guess he's probably going for his ''saddic'' pulsion of contradictarian hidden under a good well thoughtout speech.

I bet dollars to donuts that if Jim gave this game a 10/10 you wouldn't begin to question his playtime. The fact of the matter is that we don't actually know how much he played this game other than that he sunk an indeterminant amount of time in the days leading up to a 2-3 day period where he sunk the majority of his time.  That could still result in 40-50 hours of play time overall. Ironically, Jim could have played the game more than the majority of reviewers that gave the game a 10/10 for all we know.

I was going to say something similar.  How many of those 10/10 scores are being protested here because of how much time the reviewer put into the game?  I haven't seen a single person look into that until now, when we're getting detective work on twitter posts.  I'm betting the same level of scrutiny is not going to applied across the board.

Good for him, hate the sob. Zelda:botw is a awesome game and his score proves he doesn't understand this game.

Well... that was Jim´s intention since he started writing that review. Got what he wanted. Clicks and more clicks and a few minutes of fame. After all, people forgot about him since he left IGN

Uhh... He never worked at IGN.

In that regard, I like how KindaFunny does it, they are still playing it between 3 different people before they come out with a review and really taking their time while having fun with the game instead of rushing a review. Just remember that Jim is one person and he has a lot to do so he won't be right on the money every time due to time constraints and the need for ad revenue and keeping his Patreon people happy to keep him going. Not to mention, 7 is not a bad score. Not everybody will think Zelda is a master piece. I just know my personal opinion is that this is a must play, and worth getting a Switch for, if you like the type of game that it is.

Destructoid my man, not IGN

I hope people understand that 7/10 is still pretty good.

Besides, the score went to 97. So what? Is everything suddenly going to decrease in quality because it isn't 98 anymore?

Ridiculous that people have taken the site down.

Also frustrating that I can't read the review, I'd be interested to see what he made of it. That being said, I have often disagreed with his reviews, and he has form for having 'outlier' reviews for Nintendo games; his 5/10 ratings for Mario Kart 7 and Kid Icarus Uprising stick to mind as two I really did think were unreasonable.

That's not an attempt to invalidate his opinion, of course. He's completely entitled to express what he thinks about Zelda and it's absolutely ridiculous people have taken his site down.

A)  IGN, huh?

B)  Why would he want "clicks" from people who just want to leave insults?

C)  He's become much more popular and well known since he left Destructoid.

Probably, but I would be instead wondering why he would slap a 10/10 on his critical review.

I don't see how it is relevant to the actual reality we live in where he did rush through the game, he is misinformed of its mechanics (if we are to be generous -- because he rushed through it) and he writes a review where his opinions are based on falsehoods about the state of the game. Now post something fruitful about my criticisms of his review, rather than try to obfuscate things by imagining a world where his review was something else.

We haven't actually established that he did rush through the game though.

You haven't. Having been following it for the last week in anticipation for the review, I am quite convinced of his playtime because he explicitly made it clear what he was doing every single day in his podcast and on Twitter.

Man.. seriously? I´ve never noticed that he also had worked for Destructoid.

I just remember him from his time at IGN, that was... 04 or 05 years ago, I think.

Thanks for the info.
