Gamexplain tested whether the switch can fit it your pocket.  It fit perfectly by itself and stuck out a little when connected to the joycons.  They said the pockets they used were close to normal size.

Great way to destroy the thing quicker.

Don't underestimate the number of amazing things you can do with a monster unit in your pocket

It doesn't seem like a good idea to put the Switch in your pocket with the Joy-cons attached. Sitting down would probably place a fair bit of torque on the connection point.

People were fine with putting a 3ds in their bag. The switch shouldn't be any different

Good for those who have Shaquille o Neal sized pants. I'm sure the switch won't be a problem for guys like me with huge pockets.
