Forums - Politics Discussion - Milo Yiannopoulos book deal cancelled following outrage over child abuse comments

Would like to see the video of him allegedly promoting pedophilia or whatever it was.

Ah fair enough. I didn't see that. So thank you for the information.

That doesn't exactly disprove your point.  Breitbart is 100% behind Trump, not the Republican party.  If Trump says he doesn't like the Republican Establishment, neither will they.

Personally, I'm glad he's gone.  I think most people on the right liked him because of his anti-feminist vids, which I will admit are pretty entertaining.  However, those do not excuse is disgusting views on sex with minors and his other alt-right views.

My views on Milo are similar to my views on Steven Crowder. They're good at picking apart the SJWs and low hanging fruit. However, I disagree with them on a lot of their stances (e.g. Milo on atheism and Steven on climate change).

The dude is a child abuse victim, it's absolutely outrageous the mainstream media have put out a hit piece on him for this, and the mainstream media need to stop with all this ridiculous hit piece's before what little shred of credibility they have left is gone.

Why is it relevant that he is a victim of child abuse? It's obvious from the tape that he approves of sexual actions between underage boys and men.

OT: Milo is a vile human being but not mainly for this incident. So I find it hypocritical that this published only after this incident cancel the book deal. They should have been honest about it and say that it was a pure business decision, trying to claim some sort of moral high ground is just pathetic.

Even if they don't admit it, most fags in the Lgbt community thinks so too. most of those pedophile priests in the Catholic Church were GAY too.

The right and the conservatives were triggered so hard by his comments that they are basically ending his career. MILO's fault for not issuing a trigger warning and demanding his audience to go to their safe spaces

I was happy to see him on Bill Maher show just days ago. I hope he bounces back.

Overreaction by the MSM and the left. They weren't this outraged over the many cases of female teachers sleeping with their students.

You do know that the religious republicans are triggered for real by MILO's comments and they're the ones who are going after him, right? At least the left is doing their usaual fake outrage, and that never dictated how websites like breitbart ran their businesses. In fact, the fake outrage technique hasn't been working out for the left's favor, just like it didn't in this particular case. So need to shift the blame, your party sucks as well

While I don't know who any of these people are it looks just like another thing that has been blown out of proportion.

It seems these days making an innocent comment is equated with proudly defending a certain ideology to the death.

There's nothing "innocent" about "you can fuck a 13 year old if they've hit puberty. Puberty makes them an 'adult', so they can consent"

A lot of people have silly opinions. I mean there are people thinking consoles are better than PCs. Still no reason to treat them as if they were actual rapists.

Also I'm pretty sure there are thousands of 13 year old boys who are currently fucking whoever they want.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

When I was 13, drowning myself in a mature woman's bosom and grabbing her pussy was all I wanted to do. I was able to get what I wanted, and more, when I turned 14. I guess I am a victim of sexual abuse if I was an American, not a victim if I was japanese, somewhere in between because I am European. Right now, I am in my early 30s,with a job that pays a lot more than I can spend, and I have been in and out of healthy relationships just fine.

If you followed the post history of some the members in this thread, you'd know it's not just "fags" that think it's ok for developed young men to have sex with older adults.

Free speech is anyone's right to express themselves on any topic. It is also free speech for anyone to criticize what that persons says. Having a book deal cancelled or a booking to speak at CPAC revoked has absolutely nothing to do with free speech since that doesn't infringe on your right to express yourself. He can have his CPAC speech on any street anywhere and print his book for his own money, so his democratic rights arent I fringed in any way. It's just him playing the classic victim part just because he is a spoiled troll.

So you deny that there's such a thing called "witch hunt".

In the name of consequnce I hope that you also deny that hate speech is a problem then,  and all these accusations thrown around my media and politicians that the rhetorics by Sweden democrats are an "attack on our open and free society and our democracy".

No, there might very well be a witch hunt on Milo but what I'm saying is that it doesn't apply to free speech since the government isn't limiting his right to speak anymore than they do for other citizens

I'm critical to those that see the Swedish Democrats as a threat to our democracy. I think their policies describe a society that moves in a fascist direction but it is because of democracy we have the tool to use our vote and keep them from enacting most of their policies. Some people may mot agree with me and will support them, that is their democratic right and I applaud that right even when I don't agree with their vote.

Also, out hate speech laws are way to constricting in Sweden and we should have a more liberal attitude towards any kind of speech. But as long as the law applies equally to everyone, no one can claim that they are singled out.
