On the old GTA's I also did the traditional run around the map and kill everybody while trying to survive the cops.

But that fun has been replaced by GTA Online.  There's so much to do. A lobby of 30 players.  Some killing eachother,  some doing jobs to make money,  some trying to ruin the jobs people are doing.  It's chaotic.  Way more fun then the old offline rampages.

And you get rewarded.  I've built a small empire on gta online.  Earned about $60m and currently have $5m in the bank.  And I'm only around rank 130!

I play GTA to play the missions and interact with the world. GTA writing is superb and it`s hillarious. I can`t remember laughing so much with a game like I did with GTA V and Persona 4. The weed missions on GTA V were great.

Good for you that you liked the missions. I found most of them really dull and unapealling. Go to point A to B, do yoga class, shoot some whatever or whoever... and when it's over all you have is the classic kill and run.

I was a big fan of San Andreas, but after playing this game (borrowed from a friend) I can't get the same vibes that i had while playing Gta SA. Guess when you get older, running over a city killing random people it is just no that fun how it was years ago.

Great for R*, that could find that big audience that even buy a new console just to rebuy the same game a few years after the original release.

I tried the online mode, looks very similar to the cheat code that you have in SA where the citizens go crazy and try to kill everyone including you.

You can also have jobs in GTA SA.

I find nothing special in this, but looking by sales... that must be just me.

I'd expect Rockstar to release GTA VI a year before PS5 comes out to make it a cross generational title as well.

Use to think it was a beast at 10 million + , now it is in a league of elite titles in gaming history.

With that much user base that it is available on...... Not surprising!

I know right! Just look at all the other 75+ million titles that have the same userbase available!

"Go to point A to B" So pretty much every open world game? maybe you should just stick to linear experiences?

In other open world games there other interesting things happening while you are in that kind of mission. In GTA V you get stucked in a boring city with nothing more than pedestrians and cars.

I wonder if they'll consider putting it on switch. Mobile GTA sounds badass
