So, Americans will have to pay more for imported Mexican products just to finance a dumb Trump wall that will do nothing. Just how stupid can America Be?

The wall would actually help, how much is the question.

If the last president actually attempted to address the illegal immigration problem (sanctuary cities, catch and release, etc), there would probably be less demand for the wall. People are fed up, so now the wall is happening.

$21B is still less than the yearly cost of illegal migrants in the US.

A wall won't do you shit. A large number of the illegals are here on overstayed visas. A wall can't stop that. There also hundreds of border tunnels and water ways. They will still get here regardless.

You Nailed it Fit. Majority of Immigration is from those over staying there visa's and most of them are from Asia/Europe, Yet for whatever reason it's easier for the south to blame Mexican's for everything. Accept the fact that Reaganomics has destroyed the middle class.

Wow and the people sticking up for TRump...LOL The wall is not going to stop shit, you are wasting our tax dollars on basically something that will do nothing to stop anyone from coming in. They have Tunnels, can go around or even over. I mean how hard is this. Also this wall will be a massive target for those saying f' you to Trump. So are we going to do year around Non-stop fixes to something that clearly is for those among us who don't understand that this will do nothing to stop immigration.

Also the Immigration to this country has been net zero for many years. Literally it's not an issue but don't let that stop your racism. I keep telling right wingers this but they can't seem to grasp this

Can you check yours facts before posting? Net immigration is 3.86 per 1,000 people for the US.

You don't just build a wall and the job is done. You build the wall and enforce existing laws, maybe go after sanctuary cities as well.

I keep explaining this to left wingers, the wall is just part of it.

On the other hand republicans seem to think that if Trump pisses off Mexico and Mexico stops going after the immigration mafia in their territory that bribes guards, hides immigrants in cargo, provides them with documentation, organizes wall jumps and more, it won't have a negative impact on the matter.

I'll start by saying I don't like posting politics topics here, but that has to be shared and I didn't see it here yet.

Today the ridiculous claim he would build a wall over Mexico and make they pay for it was actually taken seriously by him and was officially signed.

Right after the President of Mexico lamented the act, and obviously said Mexico wouldn't pay for such thing.

Then Trump went on Twitter to tell him that if he doesn't plan to pay for it, that he should cancel a meeting both had on USA later this month, and that was exactly what happened, Mexico's President just cancelled it.

It's like the world's most powerful country is being ran by a spoiled brat that has a serious superiority complex because was born rich, what the actual fuck is even happening to USA, how the fuck will other countries take internacional relationships seriously with USA like that?

We all know USA is powerful, and is involved with a shit ton of important things with other countries, but if that's how it's going to be from now on, countries should and probably will start shiftting deals between themselves more often and directing more money between themselves and less through USA, which is a lose-lose for it. Hopefully if things start really getting out of hand USA people will take action and take power off his hands before real shit hits the fan on a worldwide scale.

Just let me say on behalf of all sane, logical and level headed US citizens... we're with you. Trump lost the popular vote by 3 million votes. Only 27% of the population actually voted for him. The majority of people in this country right now, the vast, vast majority, are disgusted and pissed off. There are millions and millions protesting his acts against humanity right now as we speak. So please, don't think this guy represents anything other than our obviously flawed electoral process because he sure as hell doesn't represent the collective population of the US in anyway.

As for the mess he's causing and going to cause, I truely believe impeachment or worse is on the horizon. If he doesn't stop this shit, the very people who are pledging to help him in Washington will turn on him and start the process of flushing him out. These people only care about their own political face and the more Trump damages things, the more they will want to distance themselves. Either way, Trumps time is ticking.

So we had Obama throwing out millions (criminal illegals), yet the illegal population is still massive and many come back in spite of being criminals. Maybe Mexico is doing a shitty job and we can't rely on them.

Security doesn't begin and end at the border. We have to do a better job enforcing existings laws, deal with those found in the country one way or another. As opposed to ignoring much of it.

USA hasn't been able to stop drug cartels within its territory, which should be easier to do because they operate with something that can be detected, and on top of it its security forces are better prepared, but you're expecting Mexico to completely stop immigration mafias. I think that's an unrealistic expectative.

1.South America and in particular Brazil could be a bright spot for Mexico going forward.

2.Australia had declining trade with the USA for years, so we got closer with China... And the end result is, we didn't go into recession during the Financial Crisis because we weren't reliant on them.

Now with our Manufacturing having imploded, resources in decline our economy is starting to transition again and looking towards Indonesia, Vietnam and other emerging economies for leverage.

3.I am interested to see what Tariffs will do to consumer prices in the USA though, Video games and consoles should increase in price for example, you might start looking at $80 a game rather than $60.

1. Not at all. They are actually more a competitors ( lets say one milk producer is leaving a milk buyer and try to sell its milk to another milk producers ) than partners. Brazil accounts only for >2% of Mexico trade and there is a reason for it.

For everyone who thinks that Mexico can do anything with Trump's wall

2. Yes, Austrialia is slowly entering China's sphere of influence ( 1st buyer of coal if we count China+Taiwan as one country ) and that's natural and very good, wise process. China is simply more reliable than US now. If not that 2008 crisis, China will be a biggest employer in US already.

3. I dont think there will be a much of difference, if any. US Dollar is expected to strenght its purchasing value big time, also they can simply move the production to the US. It will take like 2 months I guess. That's all. Enough low-paid immigrants here to live up production lines.

The fact that people think a wall is going to solve immigration problems is the funniest shit I've read in a while.
