There's no doubt that Bravely Default games are way more similar to FF old games than FFXV. I think that's obvious tbh. Still, they're not particulary good imo. They screwed some things, because they were trying to improve games' length with some questionable decisions.

At its core Bravely default uses a job class system. If you mean its similar to old (i won't even use that word) FF games with a similar system then there is no argument there. But thats just means you like the job class system. And anyone that does would be able to like BD. That does not mean that FF15 is bad simply because it uses a totally different system.

The job system is not the defacto recipe for FF games. There isn't one. Anyone thats a proper fan of the series would know and appreciate that about FF. I am not saying they should all like FF15, I have my FF games that I hate. I am just saying that it makes no sense hating a FF game simply because its not like a particular one you like. If that were the case by now we would have over 15 identical FF games mechanics wise.

Now if the issue with the game is with the strory, then to each their own.

The way I see it, is that the FF franchise simply isn't for everyone. And by franchise I mean I doubt any one person can like every single game in the FF series. Thats a good thing, and thats why I like FF. They are all mostly very different from eachother.

That's great to hear!

Despite what many complained about this game I'm really enjoying this a lot and have enjoyed a main FF game since FFX.

The game has shattered all of my expectations, sales-wise. We'll dip when the complete version is released on PC.

All doom and gloom in Japanese sales thread. Makes me find this sales a little bit amusing.

I enjoyed playing FFXV it's great I hope FFXVI will be open world as well but with more stuff to do. More quest, Make us hunt for materials and more dungeon that will provide us strong weapons. Please use treasure chest not the sparkling thingy. It's little but it annoys me a bit. Ability to swim on the water and climb mountain ( you can climb I know) but you know where I am getting at. Able to freely use other characters. We should be able to cast summons either by gaining some points or whatever. I am bummed that you can just randomly used it. More wardrobes!!!

Although I still stand by that FF versus should have stayed and FF XV with different characters and story.

Bravely default kinda sucks though. It's more like traditional FF but less good.

Good. Its the best incomplete game I've ever played.

Thats my line!

Xenogears is far superior.  (In my opinion obviously)  Great game though.

Anime and Studying is life RN

It is my first final fantasy game so I guess it also attracted new gamers to the series. Considering digital is bigger now, it makes it even more impressive this npd numbers.
