Really it always bothered me Wii U didn't have Achievements, hence the article.

Exactly, they just add replay and fun for setting a certain goal. that's what games are really, the goal is to reach the end etc... Achievements just add to the goals of the game, it's like added quests and who doesn't like that? .

I really don't like achievements at all, but even I know that this is a bad decision from Nintendo... Just do it already, you even have paid online, give the people what they want for once... They are just annoying, narrowminded jerks.

I always think achievement/trophy is good for an online arcade/multiplayer games with leaderboard stuff like that, but a single-player/Co-op games aren't REALLY important.

Nothing's confirmed either way, and I really don't care either way. Achievements are the most useless gaming-related invention of the last two decades, and when I read through a list of them reading the kind of mundane tasks you have to do for most of them, it's like they're designed to make a game as tedious and frustrating as possible. I really don't see how anyone would have fun with that.
