They're not soldiers. You do realize videos and such can be edited to serve people's agendas right?

They have nationalality based culture that is starkly different in the role / treatment of genders. That mindset of "well if she didn't dress like a whore" is not solely middle eastern as well. Western cultures still have a big issue with this concept of men are not animals and are full capable of controlling themselves. In this scenario, these nationalities are just further down on that social evolutionary ladder.

Helping refugees is something everyone should do along with not pushing nations into cival war and then perpetuating that war to serve their own interests.

Why? It violates the laws of nature. Survival of the fittest and all that...

Again, we're not animals. We have humanity and all that...

Ok Chunk, you´re totally right. I will not be banned one day away from the Nintendo Switch reveal, that much I tell you. You can say they are unicorns, I won´t bite.

What, you can't have a civil converstation? Says a lot about your point of view on this and likely other topics.

Things are black and white. They are always a number of shades of grey. Are there evil people in the group? of course. But to classify the entire group, withhold any assistance out of irrational fear vs intellgently looking at who has their hand out and monitoring appropriately is a drastic difference.

Yes, we are actually. And survival instinct is a whole lot more important than anything else. The safety of ourselves and those we care about should always come before harming ourselves for others with no benefit to ourselves.

Yes, by techincal definition we are animals and we share a sense of survival. But we've also evolved to have sympathy and a sense of humanity greater than any other animal on the planet. (clearly there are those that push to disprove that statement)

There is no reason we cannot help the refugees (any refugees) as well as guard against our own civility and safety. But to ignore it all and watch hundreds, thousands or millions die is a crime against humanity and if you're religious, against all religious teaching (regardless of the brand).

Regardless of what you do though it will always be at the expense of the people of the country. Even if the refugees don`t cause any safety issues there are still the economic ones, there are only so many houses and jobs to go around after all.

As for them dying, well better them than us. And it`s not even as if they`re dieing of a natural disaster or illness or something, it would be more reasonable to help then, although I`d probably still be against it.

"clearly there are those that push to disprove that statement"

Imo Europe either has open borders or a social welfare state.

it cant have both

My grammar errors are justified by the fact that I am a brazilian living in Brazil. I am also very stupid.

If only they had refused refugees in. Jesus would be proud.

Be meek as a dove , but wise as a serpent, said Jesus Christ. You do not have to turn off your brain to be a christian. If the refugees clearly are soldiers that will harm you and your family, to not protect your family is a much bigger sin.

And I know you are just having fun, you´re not one of the bad guys in VGchartz, and believe me, they exist.

It is funny how people use the "christians suppose to be stupid, you´re not being stupid, so you are not a christian card" everytime we show the less than perfect side of our psyche.

Self preservation should kick in in situations like that. Of course, when the time comes to make a choice: "Deny Jeus or die", as it happened in many eastern countries for many martyrs of my faith after ISIS was created, I will choose martydom, never denial of the faith.

First of all the fact that you're generalizaing all refugees as soldiers is not only terrible but completely unchristian. Jesus could have been one a part of those families and you would have rejected him to protect your family. Something that he never said one should do. On the contrary.

Remember that in the bible there is a text that says that Jesus is everywhere. I don't remember the passage at the moment but it goes like "I was starving and you didn't help me. I was in prison and you didn't visit me". Clearly he is one part of those refugees that you dismiss as soldiers.

I understand people being selfish and thinking about themselves and their families (actually, just the possibility of their family getting harmed). But coming from a christian, it stings. It really does. Same with my country's archbishop who said he's willing to help refugees as long as they're christian. Again, Jesus would be proud.

Hope you never find yourself in their shoes for whatever may happen in your country and be treated like these people are by you and everyone else who thinks like you or worse.
