...to avoid getting banned for inactivity, I may have to resort to comments that are of a lower overall quality and or beneath my moral standards.

I would like to say the mod team is doing an amazing job, keep up the good work!

Instead of seeking to convince others, we can be open to changing our own minds, and seek out information that contradicts our own steadfast point of view. Maybe it’ll turn out that those who disagree with you actually have a solid grasp of the facts. There’s a slight possibility that, after all, you’re the one who’s wrong.

I concur.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

Nah, just the few above. :P

In all seriousness, we, like y'all, are just readying ourselves for the onslaught of Fall 2020.

I'm expecting and hoping the site gets a huge boost in hits, and new and returning people to the forums. There is a lot of anticipation for the next generation.

Just out of curiosity: How many hits do we get right now and how many do you expect we'll have at the launch period of the next gen?

I don't know exact numbers. I think we get anywhere from 3-5 million hits a month right now. I'd just want the site to be more sustainable financially and having less intrusive ads. So whatever that number would be.

What is the expected increase for new gen, about 30 percent ?

That sounds about right if you don't include all the other work Talon is doing to make the site run better and other work to modernise the site.

Nice, that could help keeping momentum so that spike of new traction, viewers does not go down so fast/goes down to a higher base level.
