Seriously, stop making shit excuses for him. Rol was saying that crap as a personal jab to me. He does this to alot of people. It's wasn't friendly or being playful. We're not friends or have a sort of relationship where I would tolerate that. I even asked for him to stop it and to stick to the points but he wanted to be dick and kept on. If he wants to debate, that's fine I'll argue with him all day but I'm not a punching bag forsome person on the net. I'm also fine with someone taking a jab at me or two because it's a part of debating but there's a line when someone is just being disrespectful to others. I'm not cool with that. 

Rol doesn't really bring anything to table except in the nintendo circles. He thinks he's right about everything and he's antagonistic towards anyone he disagrees with. That's a bad combination to be honest. All he has to do is not insult people. it's not hard. This is a forum. It's not a contest to see who's right or wrong. It's place for discussion and people have to get along to certain point or it turns into a youtube comment section. 

Stop trying to get others to agree that we should hold Rol to lower set of standards for behavior because he's rol or that "he brings alot to the table". Being right on sales predictions doesn't bring shit to the table nor is it a redeeming quality for personality flaws. Is he the owner of the site? Did he cure cancer? No? Then he's just like any other joe smo on the net. Again, if a dog can learn not to piss or shit in a house, Rol can learn to be nice to people who he disagrees with.

Well, clearly I have an unpopular opinion here, I guess the right choice is just to keep baning him for completely irrelevant infractions and keep him away from VGC as most time as we can even if we know nothing is gonna change from doing that and way worse users keep getting away everyday just because their infractions are not that evident. Ok, I just don't see the benefit on that at all and this may eventually end in a permaban for a user which only real sin is to make some little jabs, but I can't have a discussion against the whole place, so yeah, I'll let it be.

I concur with the above poster. I have been backseat moderated on nearly every thread I go on because someone with strong feeling to one piece of plastic may have been hurt because I said a positive comment about the xbox (especially the X). I have the right to say something positive about my console of choice without others constantly calling for my ban. Oh a mod was in those threads, but I’m guessing he/she was to busy "Debunking" my posts. 

Attacking the argument and not the one(s) making the argument is a good rule of thumb. Resorting to name-calling only makes it look like you're losing the argument.

And a simple 'Agree to disagree' can do a lot.

If me or many other users said to you for example "you are an idiot because...."  you'd hit the report button straight away and gave us banned.  

Rol is a likable character (at times)  on the Nintendo side of things.  That's why he's been defended here when there's no defence.  As someone who has been banned a lot,  the last thing I want is someone getting a free pass with the rules of the site.  

You keep saying he can either get a free pass or be permabanned.  I like the third option which is to use his super intelligence i hear being touted and stop attacking others.  Pretty simple.

I don't even post in the ninty threads that often compared to where else I post. If I was out to shit all over anything nintendo, I would have been dealt with by the mods a long time ago. I'm just not a fan of the brand and I don't pull my punches so to speak with my criitcisms or thoughts on it when I do post on it. If that bothers some people, oh well they can learn to deal with it. 

Not once did I ever say that I bring anything to the table. I'm not an egomaniac nor do I feel the need to seek approval from others.  I didn't even bring it up the whole table thing. Also I don't need some qualification that's defined by some moving metric to say what anyone brings to any table. I have a brain, that's good enough. I'm a neutral in the sense of what I bring to the community. I care about it but I don't really belong to any group because i'm fairly vocal about my opinions on everything so I tend get into a debate or two with most people on something sooner or later. I'm just some joe smo with an opinion who likes to debate.

Not really I just think that when someone is constantly making wrong predicitions it usually is an indication that there is no rational thought going on there, just a huge bias, wishful thinking or even trolling.

Yes, I mean you are not going to ban someone for that, but if you already suspect the subject is a polite troll and you see how everything he says ends up being wrong it kind of makes it more evident.
