Forums - Politics Discussion - Obama should close his mouth and leave in dignity

Amen to that. Shut it Barry Soetero, out the door already...

My grammar errors are justified by the fact that I am a brazilian living in Brazil. I am also very stupid.

I  must have misread you. It sounded like you were saying "you can't blame x for doing y because w has been doing y"

x/w = republicans or democrats.

"And don't say that's just the left taking words out of context or twisting it because the right did the same to Obama every chance they could for 8 years."

My point was they can't say the left just twists Trumps words and yet be OK with the right having twisted Obama's words for 8 years.

If they don't like word twisting, they shouldn't have been OK with for the past 8 years...just a different president.

I'd also like to point out the irony that when Trump says X, the left calls him out on it and the right claims he really just means Y.  Yet the right says they support him because he says it like it is...as in they like X meaning X.  So which is it?  Does Trumps X mean X or Y?  Because if it means X, why does the right say it really means Y and if he really means Y, then he's not really telling it like it is.

Agreed pretty much, (my opinion)-> the reason this happens is because the liberal brainwashed mainstream isn't quite ready for those boulders of truth presented in a linguistically retarded fashion (Trump wording).

Political correctness is a gamut. Trump isn't quite ready to go 100% in on it.

Public opinion moves, politcs moves, public opinion moves a bit more, and so forth.

The analysis of it is a fools errand as you are expecting empyrical results/discussion from something that has no basis in absolutes.

That's not to defend or attack Trump but you can't cleanse politics and give the red pill to the masses overnight.

“Political Correctness” is a myth, we just want people stop being assholes. What parents would want their child to grow up acting like Donald Trump?

Only brain washed deplorables would called him "Osama" though. Get your head out of your ass.

You possess a satirical quality in short supply on vgc and places in general. Bet you're alt right and a descendant of Hitler. I really want to not need a /s at the end of this post.

And those people still think he's a Kenyan born muslim too.

But I'm not one to qualify them with more than a modicum of perspicacity either.

You don't need to qualify the literal statement but can at least try to understand why they let some Trump crazy talk pass but then go on to believe some amusing Obama "facts" that are hilarious.

There will be some truth to the liberal snobbery opinion that they hold that these people are just plain idiots. That doesn't cover them all though, and it doesn't even cover the majority.

There are plently of people who think Obama's policy has been so un-american that they are happy to let reality take a back seat. When someone has had enough, they've had enough and lots of americans have...had enough.

Obama Thinks The Media Covered WikiLeaks' DNC Emails Too Much

I like Obama. But criticizing the press for doing what they did is lame, He says the election news coverage was dominated by the leaks!

The election wasn't dominated by the "leaks", not more than it was dominated by Trump's behaviour. Smearing attempts everywhere you looked, the laziest way to win arguments. Kyle grilled him for all the right reasons.

I have to stand in between on this one given the fact that the media kept the birther issue going on five years past its time because of trump. Trump haunted Obama ike a bully.

In 4 years after we've been to war with China for the last 3 years and some of you are drafted and some of you are gone, lets look at the Obama administration again. Seem like every time we get a republican president we get thousands of people dead. I doubt this trend will be broken with a president who can be provoked so easily.

Actually, no. Historically speaking, throught the last 100 years, Democratic presidents had been involved in more wars than Republican presidents. During World War I, we had Woodrow Wilson, a Democrat. During World War II, we had FDR, a Democrat. During the Korean War, we had Truman, a Democrat, though Eisenhower got into office just as that war was ending. Lyndon Johnson, a Democrat was President when the Vietnam conflict heated up. Richard Nixon, a Republican got into office after the conflict started. Ford, Carter, and Reagan were not involved in any major conflicts, although the US did interfere in the affairs of other countries. Bush 41 got the US involved with Iraq, though that conflict lasted mere weeks. Clinton got America involved in Bosnia, although that is considered a NATO effort. Then we had Bush and Obama, who were responsible for killing more people than most other American Presidents over the last half century.
