Forums - Sony Discussion - Why do we still not have EA Access on PS4?

Because it's a pointless service. And why compare a service that has 400+ games to one that has 35 games.......80 percent being damn Sport games and mostly shooters. "The value" reallybisnt there. But hey we've seen how well EA games sell on Xbox....not very well lol

I still think that MS is bankrolling some of it. That's a lot of current gen games to give away for $30 a year. The value is amazing, but I can't help but think that lost revenue is being covered. Honestly, because there's no good reason Sony should have for denying the service.

But the loyal fanbase! It broke their heart that ea went in bed with ms last gen, how do they even dare to side with the console that dominated the western market last gen. Only bad companies do so and Sony of course is aware of that, they know everything.

Most EA games sold more on Playstation last gen so they definitely didn't dominate.  Not only were they in bed last gen,  but they double down into a king size bed this gen.  Shooting themselves in both feet instead of one.

They screwed themselves and their fans on Playstation.  EA access not being allowed on Playstation is retribution.  They might learn their lesson now.  Good guy Sony always wins.  Don't bite the hand that feeds you.

Getting back at EA by reducing the amount of choice PS4 owners have...

...Okay...

Seeing people actually defend the fact EA access isn't on PS4 is just baffling. That is a service I would say has more value then PS Plus thanks to it being cheaper and the amount of free games and time trials. This is just as insane the Nintendo fans that didn't the lack of voice chat. Just because you don't want it that doesn't mean others will feel the same.

Seeing this has baffled many of the words out of your post rendering parts of it close to impossible to make out.

As for this thread it's nice to see the amount of humour that people find in others opinions on gaming here, I'm not sure I would find these "LULZ" worthy myself but I can see a reason for Sony or companies in general to want to keep other game selling options off their console, it is one of the main reasons to spend so much money on getting their hardware into homes is so that they are selling their customer a closed market for PSN, I'm not saying that is a good thing at all for customers but I see the logic in stopping other services being available on the hardware Sony sell right now. I would take a guess that as the leading console this Generation EA and Sony have had a lot of talks to bring the service to the platform though and it will happen in time once the right amount of money is on the table for both sides.

Look at this recent reply, was a bait post and it worked.

This thread is both eye opening and frustrating.

I always see people complain about the price of Playstation Plus being put up... was that only a US thing? Because it's never gone up here in the UK o.O

It did go up in price in the UK last year sometime.

I wonder similarly about services like netflix. How do they profit with all those movies on their service?

I'm not too sure, actually. I'll need an actual admission from Kerotan.

If you're going to post ludicrous things and act like a company mouthpiece to get bites out of people, it's probably not a good idea to pop back in at a later point talking about how entertaining it is when a bunch of people have called you out for it.
