Perhaps if the "free" games were the only value from PS+. But I have saved a decent amount of money from some very large PS+ exclusive discounts on games I was planning to buy anyway. So it pays for itself in the discounts as well as in the "free" games. It's not worth it for the discounts alone, but added to the free games, especially if you have a PS3 and PS4 (or PSV and a home console) it is definitiely worth the price of admission.

I never would have got Rocket League without PS+, probably the best thing to come out of PS+ for me.

I don't think Sony is being petty with this decision. I think it calculated the cost benefit to it and decided the numbers didn't stack up in their favour.

I have a PC, so I already have a platform I could sub to EA Access on, but I haven't, because it's not worth it to me.

Most EA games sold more on Playstation last gen so they definitely didn't dominate.  Not only were they in bed last gen,  but they double down into a king size bed this gen.  Shooting themselves in both feet instead of one.  

 

They screwed themselves and their fans on Playstation.  EA access not being allowed on Playstation is retribution.  They might learn their lesson now.  Good guy Sony always wins.  Don't bite the hand that feeds you.

I actually don't know anyone that has EA access.  It is basically an odd version of BC.

Yeah, it's pretty ridiculous.
It's not something I'm interested in myself, but if Sony thinks it's not good value, it's still not their job to police that shit. I can make my own financial decisions thank you!

Monthly it's $4.99, but you can buy a year for like $25 or $29. It's an incredible value. I got the 10 hour multiplayer trial of Battlefield 1 then to top it off, you get 10% off the digital version of the game if you buy it. Even if you did the one month for $4.99, you get a $5 discount on the game, so it's a wash.

You better believe when Mass Effect Andromeda launches, I'll be taking full advantage as well for that 10 hour trial!

Seeing people actually defend the fact EA access isn't on PS4 is just baffling. That is a service I would say has more value then PS Plus thanks to it being cheaper and the amount of free games and time trials. This is just as insane the Nintendo fans that didn't the lack of voice chat. Just because you don't want it that doesn't mean others will feel the same.

I guess I sort of understand why haven't got it. They'd be allowing direct competition to what they're trying to do with PS Now. But still, I'm a big boy and I can decide when and where I'd like to spend my money.
