Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Rumor: From Software Currently porting Dark Souls 3 to Nintendo Switch, Possibly Dark Souls Triology to Follow

So you're being negative about this potential game because you just want to be negative.  Nobody is saying Switch is about to have PS/Xbox 3rd party parity.  We're just talking about a game that has the potential to show up on it.  What the hell is wrong with that?

You're having this massive hate fest over 1 game.  This thread is about 1 game, not the resurrection of SNES 3rd party output.

US: Cool, a Dark Souls game may come to Switch.
You: 3rd parties hate you and want to inhale your children.

This is what you sound like.

Wow, are you really a 39 year old man? Polarizing is cool, you should totally move here to Sweden.

My "hatefest" is just me being confused over the excitement over rumors and confirmed trivial efforts. I would very much ask the same questions of any PS or Xbox fan who managed to create so much hype over relatively trivial news (and indeed have for several years). The implication by some users, namely the ones I've answered, is that this rumor, along with a 5 year old port from Bethesda and obviously the likes of Just Dance is a sign that major studios are "on board" with the Switch, when this is clearly not the case.

Anyway, if you're gonna resort to the ridiculous language in this post, I might as well not bother, likening me to the grim reaper rather than even attempting a semblance of counter arguments is not what I call productive.

Not only that in portable mode it is probably about the same performance as last gen plus a bit so any ps3, 360 and wii u games can be converted to it. We now know the Switch is powerful enough to emulate up to gamecube level according to the virtual console info and wii is only 50% more powerful using exactly the same cpu and gpu arrangement as gamecube so optimisations there may bring wii emulation too.

For that to work, they would need to make the wiimotes compatible with the switch, or add to the joycons move technology. It would be interesting to see if Nintendo is still interested in supporting that tech, specially because there are still more people around with wiimotes than there are 3DS and WiiU owners.

You know it deserves the GOTY.

wii remotes only need bluetooth. People are using them directly with pc for wii and wii u emulators. I think the Switch will have bluetooth support and the drivers for wii remotes.
