That's at least insane, if you think how much wii/ds games were selling...

Pokemon go boost of Pokemon franchise in general, is unthinkable, even if   the mobile game has declined significantly in usage, people that played/ing it are still  eager  to immerse into the core pokemon exprerience enticed by the mobile game! Perhaps, some of them are  lapsed  Nintendo handheld console gamers.

There is still huge potential for pokemon go and by extend Nintendo handheld console, because the game someday will get the 2nd gen, 3rd e.t.c...

Also, if this is in the UK ( which things hasn't been very good for ninty there this gen ) , what about France, which loves Nintendo  ( 3DS has almost sold 5m there and WII U 1M )  and it's  their biggest european market ?

By the way, are you curious for the boost in hardware sales? Because I am and to a great extend. ( 3DS sold 35k without any BF discount, very good )

Let's see if Super Mario Run can do something similar for the fairly older and multifarious Mario franchise, which is more iconic than Pokemon and having more audience ( but less devoted than the Pokemon's ), in spite of not having an anime series, movies, cards e.t.c.
