FFX was the best game of all time.

It wasn't an RPG though. You couldn't explore, and there were more cutscenes than actual game. The english voice acting was cringe worthy, and the story didn't make any sense at all.

that is not an "interpretitation". They assign their score and they are saying 8.2 means "Great" to them. 

I'd say the action of assigning a word to describe a score is a kind of interpretation, but it seem we disagree about that.

I feel like people are becoming more a critic these days or trying to get click baits. Like I feel that some games that got very high score back then wouldn't be getting as high now.

Either way, some of my favorite games from last gen got meta scores between 70-80. So I'm very cool with this score.

It's probably just more critical thought.  Criticism evolves with the times with all media forms.  And 8s don't get you clickbait frankly.  10s and 5 or lower get you click bait if they don't line up with the trend.  Which is the real thing.  Clickbait isn't about the numbers it's about scoring outside the trend, being in line with the general consensus - whatever that be - doesn't earn you extra clicks.
