Hahaha I called it!!!!!!

SE were such idiots not releasing this on their biggest marketplace at launch. The brand was in a good place and now it's been damaged by this whole fiasco. All for a quick buck.

I'm not surprised in the least ps4 players didn't rush out to buy this. Most would have gotten their fix from uncharted 4 instead which is GOTY material.

I'm one of those. After playing uncharted 4 I feel zero urge to buy this and will likely either get it free on ps plus or buy it for $10 on sale in future.

That's unfortunate Rise - tomb raider is amazing you should check it out for sure, it won a lot of game of year awards 2015! Lots think it's even better than uncharted, i think because lara is such a bad ass!

It should have stayed MS exclusive. I doubt it would have sold well on PS4 even if it launched the same date as the Xbox One version.

Well, the CEO of Crystal Dynamics was fired a year ago after the beginning of this debacle and the poor sales on Xbox One. And the rumors about the next Tomb Raider game say that it will be developed by Eidos Montreal, not Crystal Dynamics.

This failure was expected by a lot of people and the decisions behind it were inexplicable, new decisions are apparently being taken to avoid another fiasco like this one. Let's hope the IP can rise again with the next game.

I think there's a good chance it would've sold well on PS4 a year ago. At least more than the 120k this late port managed at retail in NA. Just look at PS4 sales of the game from 2013.

OT: I bought it for PS4 after loving it on my 360 at launch. It's a great game and I hope it keeps on selling.

I hope both Sony and Microsoft are done buying timed and fully exclusive games and dlc from 3rd parties. It's just bad for both customers and the franchises involved.

Exactly.

The TR franchise has a much larger following on PS. So how did you come to that conclusion?

And kill the next game of the franchise with it? Yeah, sure ^^.

The next game will be multiplatform. I wouldn't even be surprised if it was showed during Sony's E3 and offer something like early DLCs to PS4 owners (or even ROTTR). They will do heavy discounts for ROTTR before the future release, maybe give it as a free PS+ game.

This game and everything around it is a failure, it's over, they now have to do everything they can to reduce its impact on the IP's future. In order to do that, they have to make sure that the IP stays relevant, that players keep it in mind and expect the next one. Keeping it on the smaller consolebase and fanbase is the exact opposite of that and would be the death of the IP.

They fired the people responsible for this failure and gave the IP to another studio according to the leaks, they'll take a fresh start, far from Crystal Dynamics errors. And Crystal Dynamics was apparently a studio a lot more confortable with the Xbox development, so the fact that they won't develop the next game is already pretty telling.

Easy. Look at the sales. They are very low. Its pretty plain to see that Sony fans don't care about TR like they claim they do. Where is this much larger following?
