i love "The Boy and the Beast" and "Wolf Children" by Mamoru Hosoda !!! Two masterpieces. You know the movies ?

The Boy and the Beast won Animation of the Year 2015 at the 37th japan Academy Prizes. The film was #1 at the Japanese box office during its opening weekend, earning approximately US$5.4 million from 492,000 admissions on 457 screens. The film was Japan's second highest-grossing film in the year 2015 with a total box office gross of (converted from yen) US$48.6 million. This movie is a masterpiece like "princess mononoke" for me. Two awesome anime-movies for the family and fantasy-fans. With "Studio Ghibli-Art". Watch it guys :) the details!! I should really watch The Boy and the Beast. Wolf Children was great!

Only watched The Boy and the Beast, and it was pretty good (I feel the ending could've been better though). I definitely need to watch Wolf Children next!

Watch every movie by Hosoda. The Girl Who Leapt Through Time and Summer Wars are both absolutely fantastic too. He's certainly one to watch

Oh, I love Wolf Children, watched it 3 times on blu-ray. Summer wars is fun too but Wolf children is really great.
The boy and the beast, ships in 2 to 4 weeks. How to make physical even more undesirable... I'll watch it in November I guess.

The girl who leapt through time was very enjoyable as well, despite the only way I could watch is was on you tube. It's a shame it's so hard to get anime on blu-ray here. 10 years after the movie came out, finally a blu-ray release here.

Other non Ghibli favorites of mine are Journey to Agartha aka Children who chase lost voices and Patema inverted.

What's so great about them. Modern anime sucks so hard. Either forced "feels" or purely infantile.

Long gone are the days of Roujin Z and GITS.

I didn't like Wolf Children or Summer Wars, but I like The Girl Who Leapt Through Time.
Haven't seen the Beast movie yet.

Children Who Chase Lost Voices was good, but I prefer Shinkai's other works like 5cm/sec and Voices of a Distant Star. 

Other than the main three (Ghibi, Shinkai and Hosoda), I don't watch a ton of anime movies though.

I'd say its a lot more like Summer Wars than The Girl Who Leapt Through Time, so if you didn't like Summer Wars, I doubt you would like The Boy and the Beast.
