By the time this thing releases in full you could probably put it on a PS5.

Funny you should mention that =P

It definitely sounds much better than NMS. I like that they're basically hand crafting the planets instead of relying totally on procedural geneation like NMS does. 500 planets with handcrafted content on them sounds way better than 18 quintillion planets that were procedurally generated.

It certaintly does sound better. Bigger or more isnt alway everything. We can see the high amount of funding being poored into this game. 500 hand crafted planets does not sound cheap especially on the scale of this game.

Maybe but even then Roberts hasn't said specifically that it's definitely going to Sony's next console or consoles in general, especially when the dream game was funded entirely by PC gamers for PC gamers.

Yeah the idea of hand crafting but using a bit of genration sounds better than just pressing a button and having random content dished around without much if any handcrafting done in the process. What Roberts team is doing looks like the better deal and will give us more reasons to come back to those planets rather than going to said planet and never ever going back to it again due to it appearing the same as a few other planets. Making them truly unique would give us more reasons to set foot on them again, I know I want that Cowboy Bebop feeling where I return to my favorite local space diner filled with my kind of scum to do business with.

I think this comparison to NMS got a bit carried away...apart from space setting, those games are pretty much in different genres, not to mention that SC stands at 100+ millions budget (since last December).

Another thing they have in common are extremely high expectations and controversy - but if SC (god forbid!) fails, the outrage will be much louder and the consequences more far reaching.

PS Budget is over 120M by now.

    CU......or CF ?

I know this game is PC exclusive for now. But i have a feeling the will be console ports.

Off course there will be. A possible user base of 60+ consumers cannot be ignored.

Of course? In the year 2019/20 when its finally done of course. After a new "generation" has launched.

Hunting Season is done...
