Forums - Gaming Discussion - Un-Savage Digitally Downloaded Review (No Man's Sky)

Personally for me they look at it from the right perspective, what the game is instead of what the game isn't. They forget all the games promises and concentrated on the actual game that they loaded up. They final score is maximum marks 5/5

Since launching last week, No Man’s Sky has been met with more than its fair share of controversy. One of the biggest launches of a new IP by Sony was a massive commercial achievement, but there are more than a few people that seem to be disappointed by the game’s heavy emphasis on resource collection and survival, the lack of multiplayer interaction, and otherwise the perception that Hello Games’ work hasn’t lived up to its promises or ‘hype.’

And that’s a pity, because this game is utterly brilliant and deserves to be analyzed for what it is, not what it is not. No Man’s Sky is a thematically dense exploration game that is absolutely breathtaking to simply exist within, and that’s just as well, since that's also the point of it. It’s a game that actively rejects the standard concept of objective-driven gameplay, and the result is an experience that is in many ways as alien as some of the worlds it offers. But by the same token it’s a game that is majestic to behold and almost unique in tone...

With the performance issues the game has experienced and the clear 'miscommunication' from the devs as to what the final product would have... I can't take that review seriously, a 10/10 if anything shows bias. Unless of course his game never once crashed and the missing features don't interest him in the least.

I can't help but wonder what would have happened on here had the same happened to a Molyneux game, or Fable...

5/5 NMS perfect score
u f**king kidding me right?

"Like the greedy organisation that unleashes hell on Mars, this is the product of exploitation; the developers at ID Software and Bethesda are playing with fire in treating a property as valuable as Doom this way."

 2.5/5 for DOOM

How many NMS camps are there?

People who hate the game mostly because of broken promises.
People who hate the game because in their opinion it's a bad game.
People who hate the game because they are playing it as a single player story game with the expectations that come with it.
People who don't like the game because they've played it as an exploratory experience and just don't like that sort of thing.
People who like/love the game because they are playing it as an exploratory experience and they like that sort of thing.
People who love the game because hyyyyypee and console exclusive!
People who have no opinion on the game but who are highly entertained by watching the interactions of the people in the various camps.

yeah, utterly brilliant 5/5.

Just like a 0/5 is unfair for this game, a 5/5 is unfair for those developers out there making really great games. I can't take this review seriously.

Hey don't shoot the messenger. It's the first 5 out of review I've seen. I do like that they look the game from what it offers and not what it should of offered.

I think a lot of what was said from Jim and IGN wrong too but that's the way it is.

Personally the performance issue alone should drop half a star on a 5 star rating system but obviously this reviewer doesn't have enough of an issue to drop marks. What can I say, crashes are annoying but some people will find it more annoying than others.

I couldnt take the IGN review seriously and I cant take this one seriously.

So what I've got so far is that an over-negative review causes a meltdown for one side and an over-positive review causes a meltdown for the other side. Interesting!

The Great No Man's Sky War on VGC continues. Not gonna lie this is entertaining af lol

5/5 my ass Uncharted 4 is capable of a 5/5. There is no over negative review people are just saying the facts about this game. IGN's review is one of the best ones and anyone who thinks IGN's review is stupid can't give a valid reason why.
