Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Next HD remakes for Nintendo?

NX is coming soon, and I'm predicting that 1-2 HD remakes will release for the Wii U and NX, while the NX will gets more HD remakes for itself. Either way though, there are a lot of games that can be remade to not only look better, but to fix any flaws and attract current, new, and old fans of Nintendo.

Games on my prediction list for HD remakes:

1. Super Mario 64

2. Super Mario Sunshine(please Nintendo- I'm begging)

3. Metroid Prime

4. F-Zero

5. Kid Icarus: Uprising(or entirely new game)

6. Super Mario RPG (the only reason they'd make this is if the Mario and Luigi series stop selling well. Personally, I love both series, and wouldn't mind having them both. However, I'm sure Nintendo probably doesn't see a reason to remake the game)

12/22/2016- Made a bet with Ganoncrotch that the first 6 months of 2017 will be worse than 2016. A poll will be made to determine the winner. Loser has to take a picture of them imitating their profile picture.

A non motion control version of Skyward Sword would be cool... But so much about its gameplay would need to be adjusted/redone to make it work for standard controls.

More realistically, if they wanted to make an other remake, I'd like them to go for either Super Mario 64, Sunshine, or better yet: Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door.

If they'd feel even more retro, a HD remaster/remake of Super Metroid, with HD sprites, would be a dream come true. Best game they've ever created.

I feel as if Nintendo should make a bunch of HD remakes alongside currently developing games(mainly to attract hardware) and then go full force on new games to bring software and more hardware in. HD games will be released casually once hardware sales are decent enough

It'll be a 1-2 punch that can only work for Nintendo. Think about it. They have the most memorable characters out of the big three.

A Metroid Prime HD remake would be sooooo good, but Nintendo would never do that, it's not like it's one of the best selling games on the GC anyway :p

Super Metroid would be cool aswell, but I don't see them doing that either...

I think they'll go with something like Mario Galaxy, especially if the NX will indeed have the third entry in the series...

there are so many but i would like to see

super mario 64
pikmin 1 & 2

all major nes, senes games to be remade to preserve them for future generations as they are looking really bad on modern tv's

Around the Network

Any Mario Game of the Gamecube era (paper or main series).

As well as Luigi Mansion 1 and 2 double pack.

Switch!!!

I want,

Mario kart double dash HD
Wave race blue storm HD
Luigi's mansion HD
Metroid prime HD
Mario sunshine HD

Best chances for HD remakes have GC and Wii games so dont expect N64 games.

IMO this are games that have good or same chances for HD remaster/remake, going from almost certain to less certain:

-Mario Galaxy 1, 2 HD
-Skyward Sword HD
-Super Mario Sunshine
-Metroid Trilogy HD
-Luigis Mansion HD
-Xenoblade Chronicles HD
-Pikmin 1, 2 HD
-F-Zero GC HD
-Kirby's Epic Yarn HD (I dont think this game has some chanche for HD remaster but I would love to see it in HD)

Yes to all three specifically the first one - SS without motion controls would be fantastic.

Anyways - I personally want to enjoy Super Mario Sunshine again in HD on WiiU.

While Super Mario Sunshine would be great in HD, at least it looks decent in today's world. As for Super Mario 64, my god. Just look at the difference

I'd say that Super Mario Sunshine's graphics are completely fine. Just played it not too long ago, and I found myself not focusing too much on the graphics compared to Super Mario 64(considering how different the technology was at the time).

Would probably want Xenoblade Chronicles remastered the most, but that wont happen. They already did the 3D version so I strongly doubt another one would get made, especially since it's a game that really doesnt appeal to the masses.

Mario 64 would be my best bet, it's a game that really needs it as well. Skyward Sword will come eventually for sure. Just not right now considering that BotW is coming out in a wee bit. Metroid Prime Trilogy really should have come on the Wii U as a HD remaster instead of the Wii, would be cool if it happend and if no other Metroid game is on the pipeline I could see it happen. At least the first game if not the trilogy.

My best bet are on M64.
