Forums - Movies & TV - Suicide Squad critically off to a bad start: 26%RT & 41%Metacritic(Updated)

So, what looked like a home run, might just be a hit to first base for the DC movie called Suicide Squad, I plan on seeing on Tuesday (Not Today).

Pretty rough summer for movies to say the least.

It is very much possible that trailer highlights the best part. I will of course be the judge on Tuesday.

They are trying to be different from Marvel the wrong way

What was the last critically acclaimed DC movie anyway? Nolan's Batman?

I think it would be Batman: The Dark Knight Returns.

You mean "The Dark Knight Rises", no? ^^

That's indeed the last Nolan's Batman movie, and I agree that it's the last well received DC movie. Nothing surprising in a new disappointment, even if the trailers are nice (didn't see the movie yet, obviously, so not judging). DC tries to copy Marvel's success but didn't find the right formula yet...

I mean the animation set of films called Batman: The Dark Knight Returns Part 1 and Part 2, might also count Flashpoint, after that I think DC animation takes a huge dip in quality due to the New 52 stuff.

Add: Maybe Assault on Arkham as well, which is Suicide Squad (I did not see this).

Oh, sorry, I didn't think about animation films at all! I should watch some...
