I'm asstimating that's not true.

Of course always depend what gaffer are you talking about. For example, if you talk about me then that's ok :P too bad 80% of Gaffer have no idea of how sales work.

[Ok I'm half ironic with this comment, but i hope you get what i mean]

I know what you mean but it's the general consensus from the Microsoft quarterly thread.  It's a minimum of 3:1 but maximum of 5:1.

Prove it.

Otherwise don't say with it such conviction.

I'm not saying if that 4:1 is right or wrong, could be. I just think you guys should starting to recognize what are the correct source. A random post of a dude or even more people on GAF is nothing, unless if he usually post great comments about the market, he is usually right ecc...

Personally, i don't care anymore about XB1 hardware worldwide, i just follow NPD and some times GFK estimate from some European markets, so i'm not sure what could be XB1 hardware this quarter...

I starter to follow XBO MAU trend. All considering, when you get into it, isn't that boring and could be interesting to watch.

From what i read 3+/4:1 is very believable.

If someone proves that wrong it's what I'm going to believe.

I thoughy console gaming was dying. I guess we're looking at 55M at the end of the year. Which means that it will pass the SNES.

How long before they earn back the money they lost because of PS3?

Zhuge? Can you help us there?

They're profitable with PS4 already.

Losses from years ago don't matter.

erghhh Sony has debt, it really does matter.

Good for Sony though.

although I will mention that '44 billion yen' sounds awesome but then you remember that 100 yen (roughly) = 1$ and it becomes less incredible. Unfortunately for Sony as a whole their video game division is basically the only branch currently making money

Console gaming isn't dying.... It's dead.

Sony has no games.

Sony should quit gaming.

Get with the times!!!

Microsoft has debt, what is your point?

Also, that is completely false information. Gaming wasn't even the branch making the mist money this quarter. There are links to the report in this thread. Use them and check the info *before* you make erroneous statements like that.

Didn't you know?  Mobile gaming has hit home consoles just as hard as the handheld market. /s

I wonder how long it will take Sony to trnsition Xperia over to PlayStation Mobile?

It can't be much longer before they drop Android and the Xperia brand, and bring out a Phone/Tablet/Handheld based on the PS4 OS and APU. I am guesing we could see something as soon as 2018 or 2019 depending on when 7nm FinFET becomes mass producable.

This would be a much more profitable route for them then the current Xperia situation. Even if they only moved the same 3 Million mobile units each quarter, it would bring in much higher revenue and profits, since they would get every dollar spent on the device.

After Kaz's comments earlier this year, about mobile not seeing any innovation in nearly a decade, I think they are definitly looking to do something different, and the PlayStation ecosystem is there ultimate play to disrupt the current mobile market.
