Im not talking about them being an exaggeration. I'm talking about the negativity and reaction after the fact. You can talk about the idea of being trolled all you want, but trying to be negative on Twitter, especially on Ash's long-time VA Rica Matsumoto, or saying it ruined your childhood and all that stuff is overblown to me. I personally was initially disappointed but I got over it quickly because in the end they both fought hard and I already knew it could go either way based on each other's previous experiences. Alain's Mega Charizard X is no slouch and has fought multiple Megas before and I cannot doubt Ash's bond with Greninja. It's fine if you want to convince others to not watch the series, but you can exclude me from that since I still plan to watch as long as I see it being fun for me to watch. Again, personal opinion so no offense.

None taken, I know many people just bend over and accept abuse from higher-ups, and if they do so willingly and knowingly then alright that's fine, it's their choice to support anti-consumer practices and I can't force them not to, I'm only to make sure people are aware of it. Of course personally attacking people especially those who had nothing to do with the foul play isn't okay, but don't imply the general negativity isn't justified.

Now now. I hope you really don't think of people like that, let alone me when I said I'd continue watching after XYZ. It's a fricking anime, if you don;t wanna watch it, that's fine. Just because some will continue to watch it, doesn't mean they're bending over and accepting abuse (which I think is kinda ridiculous). You're making it out as if these are facts and all. Doesn't sit well with me. If it's anti-consumer, then fans should go upon their word if they really are saying they'll cancel their preorder of Sun and Moon (which I've already heard from a few outlets and that itself is kinda dumb) if they didn't like this particular episode. If that's what you think of the show that's fine.

I'm not saying the negativity isn't justified, it's just overblown. Again, I was initially disappointed so I can understand what some fans are thinking, but I got over it and didn't think too heavily on it because one negative thing is not gonna affect my overall positive perception of the series. It's like Mass Effect 3 for me.

Pokemon stopped being good after the second episode... Of season 1.

This is the same series that resets Pikachu to level 1 every season just to make it more interesting... Face it, Pokemon is not worth your time.

Even the games. I would not be interested in anything that has more than the first 150 pokemon. Anything more is just pokemon spam. I used to have the whole list memorized. What the hell is the point of having thousands of species... It's just an endless mess now.

That didn't break Pokemon for me. Neither did Mega-evolutions.

Ash "combining" with his greninja to become, somehow, one entity is really weird, awkward and unnecessary.

What else am I supposed to think? That's just the reality, how is it not a fact? Also anime =/= games. The game developers actually do quality work and do care about what their consumers want, there's no need to skip the Pokemon games just because of the separate anime. It's why I still watch the Yugioh anime despite having quit the physical card game over similar mismanagement.

It's good that it's overblown, maybe they'll actually hear us. At the very least most consumers will be aware of the situation.

Damn. What a pile of rubbish. I guess still not the worst disappointment of the year.

True, I'd still give that award to Color Splash.

Colour Splash is like a pre-emptive goty compared to NMS but okay.

They're both really bad for similar reasons, but I meant personally and Paper Mario means a lot more to me being that it's what got me into Nintendo games.

Just saw today's episode and yep, Alain does seem to be siding with Team Flare, so it looks like I'll also be wrong about there being a rematch. Perhaps they'll even take the League trophy back from Alain, or he'll feel remorseful and undeserving and give it up on his own. That wouldn't be a completely legit way for Ash to finally get a league victory, but beggars can't be choosers!

Ash is so lame

Red and Gold are way better hehe !

It would actually be interesting if he got an honorary win from the League by defeating Alain to stop Team Flair and thus get the chance to challenge the Elite 4 that way (I think that's how this all works?).  But it better be a really epic win if they want people to get over the league ending, otherwise it might make people even angrier :P

3 years later, he won!

Well damn, he finally fucking did it.
