For now Sony is adding 2 PS3 games, 2 PS4 games and 2 Vita games to the Instant Game Collection every month.

Do you think it would be a good idea if they also add 1 PSVR game every month to the IGC beginning from October?

Could that tip the scale of some undecided PS4 owners to get a PSVR? Would it add value compared to Oculus Rift and HTC Vive?

Would it also enhance the perceived value of a PS4 owner with no PS3/Vita compared to XBL Gold? They would get 3 PS4 games instead of 2 (even if one of them needs the PSVR), so that would be closer to the 4 games XBO owners are getting (2 XBO games and 2 compatible 360-games).

Do you see any downsides?

That's a great idea.

I mean, that didn't convince many people to buy a vita, but who knows? I like the idea of having some games already for VR. It makes the investment seem less expensive.

at launch PSVR will easily have over 30 games and giving away 1 of the sub $10 per month shouldn't be a problem for Sony

i agree but that would add an extra cost. i would propose removing at least 1 PS3 game and add the PS VR one.

Yeah, they could f.e. add 1 game of a VR game collection like "VR Worlds" and offer a PS+ discount for the rest of the collection.

Yeah that makes sense, especially considering how it can't be too long before they star phasing out PS3 or Vita games.

Is there even enough games to be handing them out for free? I think for the first 2-3 months its a good idea.

I think certainly over the holidays and unless they have supply issues then I can see them using it as an extra promotion, also it gets people playing VR which sounds silly but if you've just put down $400 then you're unlikely to pick up too many games aswell. So getting games out there for people to show off would be smart.

I'm surprised they haven't announced a pack-in, but again if they're not going to meet demand anyway, it probably doesn't make that much sense for them.

I also hope they support devs who already have released games, which they seem to be doing with FFXV and Battlefront to at least put VR experiences in existing games.

Perhaps, it would be a nice gesture on their part to push VR, it might even make the cost of purchase feel more forgiving in the long run.

Great idea! (as long as it hasn't any effect on the other PS Plus games)
