- why did batman suddenly stop wanting to kill superman, and being afraid of his power, because both of their mothers name is martha?

- why would kryptonians carry kryptonite on their ship if it weakens them?

Frank Miller. <-- Because of him, it is not a very good movie. He wrote "The Dark Knight Returns" which was this version of Batman, in "Batman V Superman". Frank Miller is a Batman fanboy.

Let me just say for the record, Batman is such a terrible detective in this movie.

- i still dont know if people knew that superman was clark kent. it doesnt make sense if they couldnt tell. not one bit.

Henry Cavill (Superman) A few days before the movie released he walked around NYC with a Superman T-shirt, and nobody recognized him. Except for one guy I think.

I think a not so well known actor is not comparable with a real Superman who would be the best known being on the planet.

I mean, if Obama would walk around in Washington people would recognize him even if he would call himself different.

But that's not really a problem of this movie and more of the whole Superman franchise.

Obama relies a lot on publicity. How many photoshoots did Superman participate in?

Fair points, but also not proving your point.

I mean this was a day or two before the opening. You couldn't turn on the television without seeing a commercial. Superman as a character is the most recognized person in the entire world. Now here is a guy who plays him, is wearing a t-shirt and is walking around downtown with giant billboards of him all over the place.

THis is him wearing a superman t-shirt and no glasses on. Sure he would be recognized way easier if wearing superman suit, but he was also not dressed as clark kent. More of a mix of the two.

There is always that psychological explanation for Clark Kent. The whole argument that your brain will convince you against something obvious because you don't or can't belive it. I mean if there were a Superman, and there was someone at your work that looked similar to him would you believe that its him? I mean here is this guy who can shoot solar flares out of his eyes, fly, lift millions of pounds, invulnerable, ect and yet there he is filling his water up at the fridge and writing a story about Kim Kardashian. Or insert whatever work environment you want. I'm sure you'll ask him, watch him, try and catch him ect. But in the end assume its just a likeness. There are sites that youcan easily see most celeb dopplegangers, or heck people alter their looks, hair, even plastic surgery to look like a celeb. If there were a superman, don't you think he would be the most sought after male in the entire world from females. If I looked even a 1/10th like him, I woudl alter my hair, ect to try and look as close to him as I could to also attract girls.

I disagree. In all honesty, it's my favourite comic book movie (tied with The Dark Knight - with Spiderman 2 close behind). I loved every second of it. I understood everyone's motives.

Batfleck was awesome! I cannot wait for his standalone film!!!

Better question: Why would Batman, of all people, leave the spear behind?!

Heat of the moment.

He threw it away to obviously not be harming Superman anymore. But then he leanrs that there is someone's Mom named Martha who he has to save in like <10 minutes. It's been like 35 years since his mom, Martha, was killed in front of his eyes. This is almost like a second chance for him to go and save his mom in a way.

So even if he hadn't forgotten the spear in that heat of the moment, he probably wouldn't bother running the 10 seconds out of the way to grab it. Whats the point. He can get it later. He has no reason to believe he will need it in the immediate future. I woudl guess he would just grab it and put it in his batcave to keep out of Lex's hands in future and possibly other kryptonians ever showing up. Something easily doable after saving Martha.

While I see what you're saying, I disagree. If this were a batarang, then absolutely...Batman uses those things like calling cards. But this is a highly-sought after, rare material that Batman spent the better part of an entire movie trying to obtain. Not to mention this is Batman we're talking about here. He's obsessive, meticulous, and way too disciplined to be dropping a weapon like that behind. I think of all people, Batman would be THE character to bother running 10 seconds out of the way to grab it. The point is because he's supposed to be the World's Greatest Detective, and he's extremely cautious (like in the comics, when he creates contingency plans to take down every Justice League member in case they go evil). His detective skills always seem to take a back seat in most of the movie versions, but his meticulousness is usually on point. Take for example in the Dark Knight: before he escapes his mangled car, he sets it to self-destruct. And in the Burton Batman films, if he leaves his car behind, he puts up that neat little shield. If he can take care of his cars so well, surely he can protect a spear? Or take a few steps back from Superman instead of throwing it away?

Also, I just want to mention that while I hated the story, plot, and characterizations in this movie, the set pieces were cool, the music was great, and it's cool if you enjoyed it.

It looks crap to me. I will never see it unless a friend REEEEAAALY wants to watch it or something. I will never watch it of my own choice.

Just watched it for the first time yesterday. At first I was thinking, hey this is alright, and then it just gets worse and worse as it goes along. And I don't watch a lot of movies, haven't seen the latest Marvel movies, so I'm not making any comparisons. There had to be so many bad decisions and missteps all piled on top of each other for that movie to come out the way it did. Zack Snyder is incompetent, is the only explanation I can come up with.

I have no clue how people at WB and DC can watch that movie and still have Zack Snyder anywhere near them.

They really screwed up Superman with this reboot and BvS only made the problems bigger.

In Man of Steel, Superman literally destroyed the laws of physics and nature when he flew into the centre of the Krptonian atmosphere machines. These machines essentially had the same effects as Krptonian but over a much larger area. Superman wasn't in the centre of one of these for a second or a minute, he was in there for ages. Not only did he survive, but he got stronger!

Here in BvS a little piece of Kryptonite is enough to take him down.

The whole Martha thing was also stupid. I know the explanation, but it only masks sense of this current Batman is a dumbass. How the hell can the world's greatest detective not know who Superman's mother is?!

Not only have they wrecked Bats and Supes, but the new Flash is horrendous. His scene was like a spoof thrown into film. I burst out laughing until I realised how badly they screwed up with the casting and how forced the scene itself was.

This movie had so many plotholes and questionable moments. It was worse than a Michael Bay film. With those at least they don't try to be clever or claim to be anything more than what they are. The problem with Snyder is he is overrated as a director and story teller but WB don't get it. Snyder does one thing good and that is recreating panels from comics 1-1 as scenes in films. Unfortunately for him, the DCU isn't that and the films aren't that either.

They needed a new Bruce not older one.

They needed a lighter Supes to balance a dark knight.

They needed a colourful DCU with the exception of Batman outings.

As AJ would say, they done fucked it up!

- what the fuck was that dream? and why the fuck was it in the movie? it didnt mean anything

I literally can't remember where the dream was in the movie so no comment.

- why was superman suddenly concerned about batman, when batman has been doing his thing for 20 years now?

agreed

- why did batman suddenly stop wanting to kill superman, and being afraid of his power, because both of their mothers name is martha?

agreed

- why would kryptonians carry kryptonite on their ship if it weakens them?

IDK

- why was lex luthor allowed full access to the ship site and zod's body without any supervision what so ever? he isnt a goverment official, why did he have access without even somebody saying "hey, what ya doin?"

Becuase that was the deal they made, he explicitly requested access to the ship in return for him making a "silver bullet" so they have the capability to take down superman

- when superman and luise lane have sex, does she call him daddy?

No Superman calls her mommy.

- lex wanted to kill superman because he was afraid he could use his power to destroy or hurt humanity. so his answer to that was to create a monster that is even stronger than superman to kill superman... then kill humanity... how does this make sense?

Because Lex apparently has the IQ of a potato.

- lex knew batman had the kryptonite that was stolen from him, what would lex have done if batman actually killed superman using it, what was going to happen with doomsday then?

Doomsday was the backup plan, afaik it wasn't activated till it was clear batman wasn't going to kill superman.

- lex has been spying on wonder woman for a long time, digging up kryptonite and doing all sorts of shit, why didnt he have one fucking security guard to guard his data? which could have been stolen within just 7 minutes

Because lex apparently has the IQ of a potato.

- how did lex know how to create doomsday? how was it even possible? why would the kryptonian ship know how to do it, how does it even have the equipment to do it? how did lex even know what the fuck it was doing? what was doomsday made of, zods dead body and that water thing in the ship? this whole thing just doesnt make sense to me.

Because the writers have the IQ of a potato.

- if wonder womans sword could cut off doomsdays hand, why didnt they just use it to kill doomsday instead of the kryptonite? since it obviously can hurt it.

Doomsday just heals itself, it can grow back body parts no problem. Kyrptonite is the only thing that can permanently damage it.

- why would batman drag doomsday back to the city near the spear, when he could have just quickly flied there and back to where doomsday was with the spear? it would have been a lot easier for him to just go get it and come back to doomsday.

Because Batman has the IQ of a potato.

- after being in space, and a fucking nuke hitting and exploding doomsday and superman from beneath, how did doomsday return back to earth? when there was no gravity to pull him, the nuke's explosion logically pushing him further into space (not sure if that makes sense even, can a nuke explode in space?), and his entire momentum pushing him further away from earth?  shouldnt he have drifted away in space?

Because newtonian physics are for nerds (i.e people with an IQ higher than a potato.

- how did wonder woman come to lex's party in the first place? wasnt she laying low? then how did she get invited to the party?

Hot chicks can go anywhere they want.

- why did people think superman killed those people in the desert when they were shot, why would superman even use a gun? the guy can shoot lasers out of his fucking eyes.

Because everyone in America has the IQ of a potato.

- i still dont know if people knew that superman was clark kent. it doesnt make sense if they couldnt tell. not one bit.

Clark Kent wears glasses, superman doesn't. DUH

Most of your points are entirely accurate, the movie has a lot of flaws.

so i watched it the other day, its a stupid movie, so much makes no fucking sense. here are just some of the questions i had regarding this movie. this is just stuff that didnt make sense to me, or questions i have about the movie that feel like they are major plot holes. im not even getting into the shitty dialogue.

- what the fuck was that dream? and why the fuck was it in the movie? it didnt mean anything

1. Some tease to Injustice or something. I agree should have been 100% cut from movie. Only people I see that love it are super die hard fans that think its the only good part of the movie. I think its the worst.

- why was superman suddenly concerned about batman, when batman has been doing his thing for 20 years now?

2. Batman had only recently started to become cruel, branding and so on. Also Batman has been doing this for 20 years. It's not breaking news for the world. He is no longer water cooler talk. And as Perry White said, "breaking news, crime in gotham.  In other news water is wet" Batman isn't breaking news.

- why did batman suddenly stop wanting to kill superman, and being afraid of his power, because both of their mothers name is martha?

3. The Martha thing is an iceburg situation. People meming the Martha thing are only looking at whats above the surface. Martha, same name, best friends, hahahahha.  There is a handful of things that happen in that scene. Batman sees Superman as a man, has a mother, has people that love him. He see's himself killing someone, and/or letting someone elses mom die. His rage is blocked for a moment and starts to peice together events and sees he has been played. Ect. This all from just the shock of hearing his MOM's name in this strange moment. We all know how unlike Tony Stark, Batman's ENTIRE mythos revolves around his parents death.

- why would kryptonians carry kryptonite on their ship if it weakens them?

4. Kryptonite is a radioactive mineral from Krytpon. Not much of a stretch to find a radioactive material on a space ship, or world engine. Also they were not superbeings on their planet. Hardly notice it I imagine.

- why was lex luthor allowed full access to the ship site and zod's body without any supervision what so ever? he isnt a goverment official, why did he have access without even somebody saying "hey, what ya doin?"

5. Lex is a billianaire and gave some government officials what they wanted. Not a stretch. The government had it for 18 months, what was to let them believe that Lex would destroy the world. They would have taken all they thought htey could, he could. Your naivety reminds me of Jena Malones quote in the movie. "Stuff like this still shocking you is what makes you a good reporter" Though remove that good reporter, cause your questions make you sound like a horrible reporter.

- when superman and luise lane have sex, does she call him daddy?

6. Grow up

- lex wanted to kill superman because he was afraid he could use his power to destroy or hurt humanity. so his answer to that was to create a monster that is even stronger than superman to kill superman... then kill humanity... how does this make sense?

7. Lex gave many reasons for his hatred of superman. Not one of them was for his power to destroy the world. That was Batman's reasons.  Also the movie hints taht Lex expected Doomsday to obay him due to his blood. He sure didn't expect doomsday to instantly try and kill him.

- lex knew batman had the kryptonite that was stolen from him, what would lex have done if batman actually killed superman using it, what was going to happen with doomsday then?

8. Fairly certain Lex wanted Batman to steal the kryptonite. And what do you mean what would he have done? For all we know he could have cancelled the doomsday. I mean his timer eneded before the countdown did. Maybe he could have said cancel to the machine. I mean at the end of the countdown, the ship shocks the embryo with energy, like a frankenstein awakening. I would assume that him saying cancel, woudl have prevented that action adn Doomsday not coming to be.

- lex has been spying on wonder woman for a long time, digging up kryptonite and doing all sorts of shit, why didnt he have one fucking security guard to guard his data? which could have been stolen within just 7 minutes

9. Pretty sure he wanted Batman to steal his data. I'm sure Mercy Graves told him that Bruce was there, and Lex knows who Bruce is. Did you notice in the Batman training montage and when he was making the spear, that he was using Lex's database to help him make his weapons. Also Lex mentioning to him at the party that they shoudl team up and Bruce shoudl see what his R&D team has been up to.

10. The ship said it has 100,000 worlds of knowledge. It's a kryptonian ship. Why would it not know how to make a kryptonian weapon. The ship woudl obviously have the tools to make it. It was a ship that had embryo's to make kryptonians in it. Recal from Man of Steel the ship. It wasn't a normal ship, it was one that could create life.

- if wonder womans sword could cut off doomsdays hand, why didnt they just use it to kill doomsday instead of the kryptonite? since it obviously can hurt it.

11. Rewatch teh fight. Everytime the military hit it with gun fire, the spot it was hit with glowed red as it absorbed that energy and contined to become stronger. Then when Wonder Woman and Superman were both fighting it, each sword cut, shield bash, superman punch also made a red glow where it connected. Doomsday was also absorbing and taking that info in to become stronger. Hell when she cut off his hand it grew back to be stronger. That is Doomsday. Cutting off his head would not have worked. He would have just regrown a body and been stronger

- why would batman drag doomsday back to the city near the spear, when he could have just quickly flied there and back to where doomsday was with the spear? it would have been a lot easier for him to just go get it and come back to doomsday.

12. He coudl have left and gone and grabbed the spear, but while he was flying away and grabbing the spear, Doomsday woudl not have sat still waiting. So while Batman is off finding a spear doomsday is killing thousands in teh city. Batman finds the spear and then rushes to doomsday. Might not be as easy/possible to lure him away from the city again. If anything complain about Batman not trying to find spear as Superman/Wonder Woman fight.

13. No point even bother with this. A F*ing nuke blew up in their faces, they are super beings, who knows how this would react. Heck the explosion could have ended and he being still alive could have kicked off of superman towards earth. Who cares.

- how did wonder woman come to lex's party in the first place? wasnt she laying low? then how did she get invited to the party?

14. Who knows how she was invited. Why don't you ask how anyone else was invited. She is a freaking 5,000 year old lady. Probably snuck in. WHo's going to turn away a sexy lady.

- why did people think superman killed those people in the desert when they were shot, why would superman even use a gun? the guy can shoot lasers out of his fucking eyes.

15. The bodies were burnt. Watch the Ultimate cut

- i still dont know if people knew that superman was clark kent. it doesnt make sense if they couldnt tell. not one bit.
16. Oldest pointless complaint in the book.

Is it just me, or does it feel like most haters of this feel have to be people that have zero comprehension ability. It's all in the movie, or simple thinking to explain all of these.

I was going to reply but you nailed it.

That's not the worst part. The movie is terrible, is supersaturated, it takes itself too seriously while being too stupid, the narrative is clunky, plenty of cliches, it feels way too long while lacking a feeling of progression, Is a film where you see tons of things happening yet none of them is able to save you from boredom, a lot of noise but no quality cinema at all, just a pretentious mess.
