That is all sorts of terrifying. Here in Sweden, they put on a show where an actress performed the SCUM manifesto, one journalist/author gave the performance a fairly bad review, the actress proceeded to harass him over the phone, threaten and even show up at his house (which was quite a long drive away). Reviews of the play were printed in all major papers but this incident was never mentioned in mainstream press and no one was willing to listen to his story, meanwhile she was lauded for her efforts both on and off stage.

I, unfortunately, also live in Sweden, but I'd never heard of that. Do you happen to remember the journalist's name?

Vladimir Orlansky, a writer here in Sweden. Here's a link where he describes his dealings with this actress;

I don't know what's funniest: the anti-feminism knights in this thread, Zara's trolling or how butthurt the maker of that video is of Zara's popularity. Either way I'm having a good laugh.

All that matters is that she identifies herself as a feminist and people see her as one which they do. Especially if other feminists see her as one. I definitely don't see any feminists denouncing her as a feminist or calling her out on her misandry. If she's a true to the definition feminist or not doesn't matter because that's not I'm talking about. Perception. She's a feminist pop star and her misandry is overlooked. Hell, it's even applauded. She's seen as a great singer who believes whole heartly in feminism. Young women look up to her as a role model.

This is where we differ.  Perception without information is just a baseless opinion.  Its one of those knee jerk things people do when they do not want to actually know the truth but instead just let people tell them their truth.  I believe we are arguing two different points.  I basically responded to your reply because you stated I was indifferent which I stated to you that I did my homework, and dismissed this girl as a glory seeker.  Right now you are going on something totally different.  When I see this girl head some group of Feminist in hating men then I would take her more serious.  Right not it's just one person opinion in a world full of opinions with nothing more behind it than a tweet.

She actually believes the things she's saying. No trolling there.

Imagine if a male popstar said he openly hated all women, his career would be in tatters and the media would go to town on him.

Did you somehow not hear about Eminem?

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

Nope, I read it.  I will say that it appears from that link that it’s from a small group or reference multiple quotes from the same book or interview.  When all said and done, isn't every movement have their extremist.  Now I will say this, I am duly informed since those are some pretty jacked up thinking but then again it doesn’t surprise me.  I have been on this earth for a while so I have seen many movements that have their extreme sides.  What is more interesting to me is how this movement is happening in Sweden.  Sound really interesting stuff.

Dont make threads about her It just increases her popularity. Im from sweden too, and she is just flat out retar...

Well... This is essentially how society is built. It is generally fine for minority or oppressed groups to resent those in more powerful positions. Much like how black people can call white people racist for even the slightest negative comment, but if a white person did that to a black person... It is a big no no.

Basically, double standards are everywhere. I wouldn't get too worked up about it...
