I don't care if the NX fails commercially like the wii u, if Nintendo delivers a good console with great games then I'll keep buying their stuff. also, zelda.
If they make games I like and continue to do so I will buy their games whether the masses buy the console or not.
Nope, I'll support them until the end. And you should really change it to "Nintendo fans, If NX "fails" in the same way the Wii U has, will you abandon Nintendo?" Lot of trolls have rolled up to the scene lately. No point in non Nintendo fans to continue to voice how they won't support them. Just a thought.
Anyways, as long as Nintendo still makes great games I'll support them no matter what. If Nintendo's hardware no longer becomes viable to THEM, then I wouldn't mind supporting them as a 3rd party company either. But that most likely won't happen in the foreseeable future. There will be a time when Miyamoto, Aonuma, Totaka, and Tezuka, and many other Nintendo regulars are no longer with the company. During those times, Nintendo will have new talent to keep them fresh. So, they'll stay resilient for some time.
It will only take 1 game(TLoU2) for me to get the PS4 Neo and there are a lot more games I'm interested in from Nintendo in general so the question is more like: When will Nintendo abandon me? lol
If Nintendo can't get it right with the NX, I hope that they stop producing home consoles and go third party (they could still release their own handhelds, though) so that I can still support them while getting a reasonable and complete gaming experience from the likes of the PlayStation platforms.
But I'm a slave to the Nintendo IP, so what do I know.
bet: lost
As long as they keep making quality titles that I enjoy, I will support them until the end, but if they eventually start to churn out only garbage like Amiibo Festival or move to all mobile, then that is when I will stop supporting them.
