The dev team nearly doubled over the predecessor and the marketing campaign was the largest in PS history. Excuse me for not thinking that this tracking slightly over TLoU and UC3 with its much smaller team size and budget, is not a raging success.

Naughty Dog split to 2 teams after Uncharted 3, and have been working on more than Uncharted 4 for over a Year already. It's simply not right to judge, because we have no idea how many people are working on which projects.

Even then like I said before, we have no idea what Sony or ND expect from the title. To say that Uncharted 4 is anything other than a success at this point, where all data we have tells us it's the best launch in ND history, is nothing more than downplaying the brilliant launch.

It is funny because I said pretty much the same thing in the Amazon thread and got no reply from the guy. Given the information taht we do have to say anything other than it is a success is not logical and just seems like you said to be downplaying. Even gave him the LT benefit of a doubt and everything.

The bundle argument has always bothered me......like for instance that year around Holidays when they were doing the Infamous and something else bundle for PS3 I was getting my nephew a PS3 for Christmas BUT I was also giving him those games of mine all I could find was that bundle for a little while so guess what I did...I DIDN"T GET THE BUNDLE....you are not FORCED to buy a bundle. You get it IF YOU WANT IT...so why people feel as if a bundle somehow takes away from the sales of a game is beyond me...most bundles that are bought are bought because someone wanted that game. There have been numerous PS4 bundles and I did not have one but guess what I didn't get any of them I got the one I wanted with the game I wanted the LE UC4 bundle. I just wish we would let the bundle crap die because it helps nothing and proves nothing...imo that is anyway...Sorry for the off topic rant....congrats again to ND

Thanks for saying that ! i agree 100%, it seems like People like to bash on Games and downtalk everything. When a Game is bundled, they always say"Oh the Game only sells that much because its bundled and the cheapest!" Completely BS in my opinion.

It was just something that always bothered me. I know people have different views but the bundle stuff has always bothered me.

Shipped or sold through? Also, does include's digital and bundling

Sold through, includes digital, includes bundles but the only bundle released was the limited edition custom Ps4 one which, again.... Is a limited release. As of current, there is no standard ps4/U4 bundle

* Includes worldwide sell-through data for both Blu-ray Disc sell-thru quantities and digital sales as of May 16, 2016.

No PAL Bundles and no Limited Edition Bundle

That's what I get for being presumptuous

Might be able to add an extra 50K on top of that 2.7 million then d:

Using the 1.3 Million figure for The Last of Us, and using rough estimations for Uncharted 3?

U3 did ~700k in November NPD after launching early in the Month.

U3 did 184k throughout the entirety of November in the UK, November 2011.

VGChartz extrapolated to ~500k for the week in Europe and 1.35 Million worldwide.

-

There's a very real possibility that Uncharted 4 just did more than The Last of Us and Uncharted 3 combined, week 1.

Very well deserved.

But that's not true for everyone. Sometimes the only hardware SKU available is one bundled with a game you might not want. Right now the cheapest PS4 hardware SKU you can buy in the US is the Black Ops III bundle. That means there's a bunch of people that will end up with a copy of CoD but aren't interested in it and wouldn't have bought the game otherwise. So it depends on the kind of bundle we're talking about. Limited bundles like the one U4 or Halo 5 had are very much bought by people who want the game so those should count but let's not pretend like all 80m sales of Wii Sports come from people who wanted the game. There's a difference between forced bundling (which is usually a game bundled with the cheapest SKU) and premium bundling (which have a higher cost that more than covers the price of the bundled game anyway).

Congratulations to SONY

very much deserved
well done ND

I agree with that but while it is the cheapest that still doesn't force someone to buy it though. It will of course entice some people but not all. Heck we can't even get a clear pictur of how many. Therea re still options for PS4 buyers or even XB owners when it comes to bundles. And like in the case of the Wii the sports game came with every bundle so that is different. But again I understand your point though.
