How big is the car roster?

Around the Network

Wonder how old the build is and how much more they will show at E3. I got a feeling they only done this reveal to set the FIA thing up and not so much for gamers.

There is no way Sony will allow GT to launch on their system with bad graphics. E3 will hopefully shed more light and Sony will have to respond to what they have shown or risk lots of bad press over a heavy investment.

137 cars

Wow that's actually alot more than i was expecting given its basically prologue lol i was expecting 50 cars. I think as long as they don't do the premium car thing again then less is good

Graphics aren't bad, even GT6 still looks amazing to this day, you have to remember PD is only half as big as Turn10 studios.

What's really gonna be disappointing is the audio. If the cars still sound the same after all these years... Sony really need to step in and do something because GT is becoming the most stale franchises in gaming.

GT6 sold over 4m on PS3 despite launching after the PS4 release. I dont think its gonna struggle for sales.

I think we all know its gonna sell great. But will it sell great like series used to? We'll have to wait and see.

Used to? GT5 is the 2nd best selling GT game. GT6 sold 5M despite its late arrival.

Damn man hopefully Horizon hits this fall i cant see GT selling much with this showing :x

The 137 car roster is only for Premium cars. They said the roster had more cars. They also said that the build in the stream was around 50% completion.

GT Sport on Amazon was #2329 pre-stream, right now #232. It's going sell fine, i'll start to worry if a in couple months when they show a newer build if still looks unpolished.

Nah, I'm not worried. It was an old build and the car models were insane looking. Also really glad to see we are getting a livery editor.

There will be more information released before the game launches. People seem to be treating the trailer today like the launch trailer.

Bet with Adamblaziken:

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.

I'm looking forward to this. I'm one of the people who loves the livery editor in Forza. I spent hours creating Master pieces and now I can finally do it in GT.

As much as people are complaining, I think we will see big improvements by the time it launches. I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of the textures are replaced, the game is made more stable and more effects are added.

The trailer build is already old in comparision with the build played in the actual event, so yeah, it'll still be improving quite a bit before release (still half a year away).

When they said the game was only 50% complete, I wonder if they meant on the day or the build they had shown. If it was the build, they could be further a long by now and I hope they are otherwise I can't see it making the release date unless they rush it. I remember DC guys saying they were like 40% done and we all know how that ended.

Thinking of picking up Dirt, it looks really good and is on sale.

The cars actually looked good in the stream but the tracks look dead, not even posters or advertising.... in Forza, there are planes flying overhead, in DC there are water-sprinklers and fireworks.
If they don't polish up those tracks and add weather, day/night , puddles and dynamic stuff it will really be a fiasco.
I don't really care about damage.

Dirt is overrated. It's all pretty low res yet that's not a problem. Controller support is pretty poor like Project cars. There are only 6 locations with about 4 layouts each which look an awful lot like eachother. You also have the pikes peak hill climb and a bunch of rallycross circuits yet I didn't find them a lot of fun to drive on. I put the game away after about 1000 km, which is very little for me for a racing game.
Yet it's the only decent rally game around atm :/ I hope GT Sports brings back Rally.
