That seems very much like something that would be against Sony's rules.

SE wouldn't do it for nothing, they would do it for more sales. If they are gonna release it on PC, they'll already have to develop it for higher specs, so they'd be stupid not to also make a PS4K version. People with a brand new PS4K would want games that showcase that extra hardware power, right?

Game looks great in 1440p, I'm only at the beginning though. So cool to be playing it again, the music is really something else as well.

Piracy on consoles is nearly extinguished compared to previous generations, PS2, Xbox 360, had Piracy via Disc on Launch.

PS4 and Xbox One don't have any kind of Piracy other than Multiple phantom accounts.

For the console manufacturers  make people want to purchase the new version of the consoles already will be difficult, will also be difficult to make people don't hate it, so you want them to make you purchase Every game you had once again ?, like if you had a PS3 and had to purchase all the games again when changed for the PS3 Slim and once again with PS3 Super Slim ?.

For people who purchased All Sony's games during those 2.5 Years ? how do you market that ?.
